Dr. Nyle arrived fourty minutes later and after Frederick explained the situation Dr. Nyle made his way upstairs to examine Jasmine.

Dean could barely keep still as he waited

"I know it does not feel like it at the moment, but she is going to be alright" Frederick said as he looked at Dean

"Have you and Seth swapped powers or something?" Dean asked

"No..."

"Then how can you possibly know she is going to be alright?" Dean questioned.

"Don't be an asshole Dean." Roman mumbled

Frederick made eye contact with Roman. 'It is ok Roman. Having me around is a constant reminder of the life I took from him' he conversed silently

'That still doesn't give him the right to speak to you that way' Roman argued

'He is simply lashing out. He will calm down once he knows Jasmine is ok' Frederick replied

Dean stood up. "I'm gonna check on him. He's taken long enough"

Dean made his way upstairs and when he got to the spare bedroom, he could see that Jasmine was still asleep but that Dr. Nyle had hooked her up to an IV drip.

"She is extremely dehydrated and weak because of her body not receiving sufficient nutrient intake" Dr. Nyle explained. "I've administered a medical drip directly into her bloodstream. It is the most efficient way to deliver the nutrients her body needs."

"When will she wake up?" Dean asked.

"The IV will boost her energy levels and help her body recover" Dr. Nyle replied "Then she should wake"

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

[Several hours later]

Frederick left and Dr. Nyle sat in the living room with Roman, Dean and Seth as they waited for Jasmine to wake up.

"Was Jasmine aware of the three of you being vampires before she was taken?" Dr. Nyle asked

"No" Roman answered "why?"

"I specialise in psychology and its not unusual for an individual who has been through a trauma to be scared at first" Dr. Nyle explained "She has been tortured by vampires and she will wake up to find she is in a house with more vampires."

"So you're saying she's going to freak out?" Seth asked.

"It's possible. So I would proceed with caution" Dr. Nyle replied "It's important not to overwhelm her"

Coughing could be hearf from upstairs and Dr. Zen made his way up to find Jasmine sat up. She was panicking, attempting to pull the IV out of her arm.

"Who are you?" She asked as she notices Dr. Nyle approaching her. "What do you want?"

"You're safe Jasmine. I'm a doctor" Dr. Nyle assured. "Jusy relax. I'll remove your IV for you."

Jasmine looked around the room and suddenly realised where she was. "Are they here?"

"Are who here?" Dr. Nyle asked

"Dean, Roman and Seth" Jasmine replied. "Are they here? Please. I don't want to see them. I can't right now..."

"They are downstairs" Dr. Nyle answered honestly. "They won't come up here though. Not if you don't want them to."

There was something about the doctor that made Jasmine feel calm, but she didn't know why

"The bite marks are already beginning to heal but the burns on your back may take a while longer" Dr. Nyle explained. "I've applied an ointment to the burn and covered it with a cling film wrap. It will need to be changed daily, but I'll come back and change it for you tomorrow"

Jasmine panicked "You're leaving!?"

"Only for a few hours. I have patients to attend to where I work" Dr. Nyle replied

"But...what if they...I don't want to be alone with them" Jasmine admitted

"We will talk about everything tomorrow but for now you need to rest" Dr. Nyle said. "I am going to administer some painkillers to help with the discomfort on your back and in the meantime, try not to apply any pressure to it"

Dr. Nyle left and all Jasmine could think about was how she could get out of the house without them knowing. She had to get away from them. She didn't feel safe

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Roman, Dean and Seth listened to Dr. Nyle's advice by keeping their distance from Jasmine but they found it difficult because they had missed her, however it was important not to trigger her. Any interaction they had with her was through a locked door, and they only spoke to her twice. Once to tell her that her luggage was outside the door and twice to tell her they had left some food outside for her if she wanted it. She ate the meal and Seth collected the empty plate from outside the door. They spent the rest of the night listening to her walk around upstairs. If she slept, it wasn't for long and the three men felt utterly useless.

Dean ventured upstairs but didn't make his presence known. He leant up against the door and listened to her heart beating. Human hearts don't beat at the same rate as humans. Vampires are slower, but just hearing her heart comforted him. He used his power to identify how Jasmine was feeling. He wanted to understand how she felt, but as her emotions washed over him, he felt guilty. She was lost, scared, and uncomfortable, and it was all his fault. He had failed to protect her that night and now she was suffering because of it. He felt like a failure. He was the strongest he had ever been, yet Imperium had overwhelmed him with ease.

Jasmine began to cry and it made Dean angry. He wanted to go back to the warehouse and kill everyone there until there was nothing left but silver dust. Fire be damned. He didn't mind being burnt, if it meant he could secure Jasmine's safety. He would enjoy killing Alastor the most. He would be made sure he suffered before he finally put him out of his misery once and for all.
