Delilah's POV:
After a few more hours of dancing everyone finally called it a night and made their way back to their houses. Sebastian and I walked hand in hand all the way back to my dorm before we had a last small kiss and said goodnight.
Around 4:00, I woke up and noticed Imelda and Daphne still hadn't made it back to the dorm. I went to the common room to see if Imelda had made it back at all, knowing Daphne she was snuck into another house's dorms and we wouldn't see her till breakfast. I found Imelda snuggled into Adrian's chest on one of the sofas, I made a mental note to ask her about it later, but left them there peacefully and made my way over to the lake windows.
"Why are you up again princess?" I looked over my shoulder at Sebastian.
"I guess I was just too buzzed from... the dancing." I said with a shrug trying to play it cool, but all I had dreamed of was what would've happened if we didn't leave that little library. "Why are you?"
"Oh definitely the same," he said leaning against the wall beside the window, "not because I kissed the girl I fancy, definitely the dancing."
I gave him a nod, "dancing has that effect I hear." I looked back over at Imelda and Adrian, I noticed how they fit together. "Sometimes I think about that morning..." I looked down at my hands for a second, "I feel like something about it was just, right."
He lifted my chin with his index finger, "I feel the same." I couldn't help it as a smile came across my face as I looked up at him. I let out a small yawn making Sebastian chuckle, "time to get you back to bed."
"But I have to get Imelda," I said as another yawn escaped.
"I'll wake them up and to their rooms after you are back to sleep." He gave me a kiss on the forehead and picked me up bridal style.
"You don't have to carry me." I stated as I snuggled closer loving how warm he made me.
"I know, I just wanted an excuse to be close." He carried me and opened my door with ease. I tried to stay close but all too soon he had me placed in bed and under my covers. He gave me a small kiss on the forehead and went to leave but I caught his hand in mine.
"Stay for a little bit?" I whispered quietly.
"As you wish."
He slowly moved himself under my covers remembering I hated when people sat on top of them. I climbed on top of him straddled his waist, and tucked my head into the crook of his neck while wrapping my arms around his torso. I let the smell of old books and vanilla fill my senses, I wanted him more than anything but instead I let closeness lull me into a peaceful sleep.
When I woke up again around 6 to get ready for the scrimmage match, Sebastian was gone and Imelda was in her bed. I groggily got up and slumped to showers, I used my favorite snickerdoodle shampoo and body wash and slugged my way back to the dorm.
I woke Imelda up as I started putting on my uniform, I chose to go with my green plaid skirt that reached mid thigh, some black stocking that came just above my knee, and my white button down with my tie untied. I looked over myself in the mirror as I pulled my hair into a half up half down with some face framing pieces.
"So are you going to tell me about you and Adrian?" I asked as I put on some light concealer and mascara.
"Later," Imelda grunted as she put her hair into a bun and got dressed in her uniform minus the padding. "I need caffeine and bacon."
I nodded in response as I pulled my robes on, I looped my arm through hers and walked us to the Great Hall. We had arrived early enough to see the food appear from the kitchens which was a rare sight for breakfast. The only people awake for Gryffindor and Slytherin scrimmage were the players, the 7th years from all houses, and significant others of players. I saw Sebastian talking with Adrian and Terence as Imelda and I made our way over to them.
"Don't you look incredibly tempting in a uniform." I whispered in his ear as I took the seat beside him. "So how is everyone feeling this morning?" I looked around the table at the state of all the 7th year quidditch players, the only one looking somewhat alive was Sebastian. I don't think he actually drank last night.
"Why did we stay up till 2 knowing we had a scrimmage at 6." Terence said looking like he was about to pass out into his breakfast tea.
Imelda sat next to Adrian as she ate a load of bacon and 3 pieces of toast, "Why'd you drink a whole bottle of fire whisky knowing we had a scrimmage." Adrian retorted as he started perking up.
"If we don't win, you'll regret it at practice later today." Imelda said glaring at both boys.
"You are going to practice after lunch still?" I tried not to sound bummed but I really wanted to talk with Sebastian without prying eyes around.
"Depends on their performance at the scrimmage." She stated glaring at all the boys.
"Well I'm feeling rather confident." Sebastian gave everyone a huge smile. I felt as he moved his hand to my exposed thigh and started making small circles with his thumb. I tried not to visibly shiver at the feeling, but Sebastian noticed as his hand squeezed lightly and moved a bit higher.
"Plus it looks like the Gryffindor 7th year players are looking as rough as Terence." Able said as he finally made his way over after talking to Angelina.
I looked him up and down taking in his smile and glances back over at the Gryffindor table, "you know you're gonna have to fill me in on that." I whispered to him as I nodded toward Angelina.
"I know, and you that." He said looking to where Sebastian's hand was on my leg. I know my whole face had turned red as I started to heat up.
Sebastian's POV:
This morning I had to practically pry myself away from Delilah, I wanted nothing more but to stay in bed with her in my arms. I knew if I stayed though I wouldn't get up for quidditch.
After breakfast the scrimmage had a slow start but we quickly turned it around and demolished Gryffindor. Imelda said there would be no practice after classes, and I had to fight the urge to hug her for it. Although I think Terence was more relieved we won than anyone. As soon as the scrimmage was over he threw up in the woods outside the quidditch pitch.
I had gone back to the pitch alone to gather the rest of my stuff when I heard a slow clap.
"Good job Newbie."
I turned around with a huge grin at the taunt, "Do I get a reward for preforming so well?"
"Depends on what you'd like." Delilah said as she walked up to me.
"Could I have a kiss, princess?"
"As you wish Mr. Keeper." She wrapped her arms around my neck as she pulled me closer.
Everything about kissing her felt right as I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer. I had to suppress a groan as her fingers laced through my hair. We slowly pulled away both needing to catch our breath.
"I need to get showered and ready for classes, but will you meet me in the Undercroft after classes?"
She bit her lip and nodded in response before she pulled me into another breathtaking kiss making it almost impossible to pull away.
"I'll save your seat in Magical Creatures class?" She asked looking up at me with her emerald eyes. I couldn't help but study her face as her cheeks turned pink and she bit her bottom lip.
"If you don't mind I'd really like that."
"Good," she slowly backed up and walked towards the exit leaving me in the middle of the Quidditch pitch smiling like a fool.
