I couldn't find Adrianna anywhere.

When I went down to breakfast, she wasn't there, and when I asked the receptionist if she had gone somewhere, they couldn't tell me.

I called her, but it went straight to voicemail.

"Kai." I heard a woman's voice and turned to the hotel door, through which Señora Ramos had just walked through.

"Señora Ramos, have you seen Adrianna? I can't find her."

"Sí, sí." She patted my shoulder, and I immediately calmed down. Thank God, she's fine.

"Where is she?"

"That's a surprise." She grabbed my arm and started leading me away from the entrance. "You can keep me company for now." She smiled.

"I'd love to, but I really need to talk to her. It's urgent."

"Don't worry." She waved her hand over it. "There will be time for that. Come, come." She pulled me on, my nervousness rising with every second I didn't spend explaining everything to Adrianna.

I know it won't be a pleasant conversation, but I have to tell her everything. Killian was right, we can't have a relationship based on lies.

I just hope Adrianna will understand why I did all this and won't hate me.

"Adrianna, me again..." I said into the phone, leaving another voicemail. "Señora Ramos said you were up to something, but I really need to talk to you. I'm just entering our suite, I'll wait here for you." I opened the door and went inside. "Please come as soon as possible."

After I hung up, I texted her the same thing in case she read it sooner.

"Adrianna?" I yelled around the suite with a tiny hope that she might be hiding, but she didn't answer. "Shit."

I walked into the bedroom with my phone in hand and stopped when I noticed a piece of paper on the bed.

"What the hell?" I frowned and walked over to the bed. I picked up the paper and opened it. Another one fell out with something printed on it, but I left it alone and read the one left in my hand.

Congratulations, Mr. Acker, you got what you wanted. Our contract is over. Never contact me again.

I turned pale the moment I read those words.

I threw the paper on the bed and picked up the other one. It was a contract to transfer the hotel to my name.

No.

No. No. This is not happening.

I immediately unlocked my phone and dialed her number again. No answer again.

I started to speak when I heard a beep. "Adrianna, where are you?" I started to walk towards the closet where she had her things before, but they were gone. "Adrianna, please call me."
