So have you invited anyone to join us for lunch tomorrow?" Jennie asked,
"Miss Park." Ella answered while showing her grin,
"how can you?" Jennie asked
"My close friend."
Ella is already very close to him.
He even came to school to watch and meet me. He's really nice, Mom.""Oh yeah? Jennie smiled wryly hearing that Chaeyoung was good, maybe for now she has changed but if she goes back to the past it is far from good.
"It would be great if he came tomorrow," said Jennie before taking a sip of her coffee.
"But Mom, um, can I ask Mommy one thing?" while her voice got lower.
"What is it dear?" Jennie said
"Don't let Uncle Hanbin come along, okay???, it's just uncomfortable, I-I don't and won't want to be with Uncle Hanbin. He's mean, Mom, mean to Mommy," said the little girl, sobbing.
Jennie understood how her little girl felt, she also felt hurt especially when she found out that her little daughter heard a big fight between her and Hanbin. She didn't want to traumatize her daughter's childhood, she just thought about how to make Ella live a normal life like her friends.
"Yes honey, don't cry." Jennie said while stretching her arms for her child to enter her embrace.
Jennie sat in the room facing the window. Her thoughts were increasingly chaotic, was it time for Ella to know about this big secret? Or how would Chaeyoung respond? Jennie was very afraid to see the great disappointment in her eyes but she was getting more fragile if she hid this from her little daughter. She hoped that her meeting with Chaeyoung would go well tomorrow without any awkwardness. Maybe this was one of God's destinies to bring the father and daughter closer together. The night wind was quite strong and began to pierce the bones, Jennie immediately rushed to close the window and sleep. Climbing onto the big bed and pulling the blanket hoping not to have nightmares.
The next day exactly at 13:30 was a good time for lunch, the mother and daughter sat at table number 11 wearing matching pink dresses. The little girl had been bending her face for almost half an hour but Miss Park had not shown herself.
"Did he forget his promise, Mom?" said the girl, almost crying.
Seeing her daughter almost crying, Jennie tried to calm her little girl down.
"It's not like that, honey. Maybe the lady had a traffic jam or something." Jennie thought whether Chaeyoung didn't come because she was here, or Chaeyoung didn't want to meet her. Various negative thoughts came to Jennie's mind. Until suddenly someone ran and accidentally bumped into a waiter, and it turned out he came. Someone she loved in the past came wearing a white shirt covered with a black coat that made him quite attractive.
"Sorry did I keep you waiting?" Chaeyoung said to the little girl, not answering immediately she immediately hugged Chaeyoung and cried there.
"I thought you forgot yesterday's promise, I-I thought you wouldn't come" Chaeyoung was surprised and immediately pulled the child into her arms while crouching down she apologized because the road was quite congested and that made her late.
"I'm sorry, don't cry or your face won't be pretty anymore" the little girl immediately took a tissue and quickly wiped her snot that had been coming out since earlier. Seeing the incident in front of her made Jennie quite warm with the scene that just happened. still silent while watching what would happen next.
