As Charlie stirred awake, the first thing she noticed was the unfamiliar feel of the bed. The events of the night before washed over her and she sighed quietly, glancing over to see Mark still sound asleep beside her. She carefully slipped out of bed, gathering her clothes and dressing as quietly as possible, hoping to leave without stirring him.

Just as she reached the door, her hand on the handle, she heard his voice - low and amused. "Sneaking out already? I was hoping for another round.", he teased, eyes barely open yet managing that familiar, infuriating grin.

Charlie rolled her eyes, slipping into her usual sarcasm to mask any lingering emotions. "Well, some of us actually have to work this morning.", she replied. "Thanks for - everything. I really appreciated the no-strings, no-conversation policy.", she added dryly, pulling open the door.

Mark chuckled, unfazed, watching her with a smirk as she walked out. "Anytime.", he murmured after her, though she was already halfway down the hall, determined to not look back.

Charlie slipped into the hallway just in time, blending in with the other interns as Bailey led them toward their first patient. But Cristina's quick eyes caught her, narrowing with a mischievous grin.

"Look who's finally decided to show up.", she remarked, her voice low but pointed. "You're cutting it close and you've got that look. Spill the tea."

Meredith grinned, eyes flicking up and down. "And she didn't sleep at home last night.", she added, eyebrows raised in mock surprise.

Charlie let out a resigned sigh, knowing there was no dodging it. "Alright, fine.", she admitted, fighting back a smirk. "I was with Mark last night. We might've had sex - multiple times."

Cristina's eyes widened and Meredith's jaw dropped before they both burst into teasing grins. "Multiple times?", Cristina repeated with a smirk. "Well, look at you."

"Please, it's all just casual.", Charlie replied, rolling her eyes but smiling despite herself. "Besides, he's probably already back on a flight to New York, so don't get any ideas."

"Right, because you're not at all into him.", Meredith teased, drawing out the words. "You just happened to end up in his bed. Repeatedly."

Cristina grinned. "Guess we know what kind of rounds you were doing last night."

Charlie was about to retort when Meredith winced, clutching her stomach. "Ugh - something is wrong. My stomach is killing me."

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "Should I be prepared to become an aunt or is the baby Finn's?" She smirked, dodging Meredith's playful swat.

Before Meredith could respond with a comeback, they reached their patient's room with Bailey shooting a no-nonsense look back a the group, putting an end to the morning gossip - at least for now.
