Chapter 48- Xisuma

It had been three days since Grian brought Mumbo back from the dead, taken to the hospital, and Xisuma sent to bed by everyone. He had just woken up that day, sleeping for so long due to pure exhaustion. He woke up refreshed and ready to get started.

"Before you go," said Keralis as Xisuma was about to leave his base, "Mumbo's doing just fine, however, he isn't fully awake yet."

"Is that what Grian told you?"

"He sent me the message about 15 minutes before you woke up. He was on life support before, just so he could breathe, nothing major, and he probably would've been fine off of it yesterday, from what he told me. The doctors wanted to make sure that he could breathe and did some testing for a day to make sure he was going to be able to breathe without it. He should be fine."

Xisuma nodded, gave his thanks for the update, and went to his code room, where he stayed for 10 hours without even realizing it. He teleported out to grab a snack when Keralis stuck his head through the doorframe.

"Hey uh... X?"

Xisuma turned around in shock, and after realizing it was Keralis, he calmed down a bit.

"What's up?"

"Something's happening with your ev-twin."

"What's he done this time?" Xisuma asked jokingly, but after noticing Keralis's face, he turns more serious. "What's going on, Keralis?"

"Uh... honestly? I'm not entirely sure. His eyes are completely red, even through his visor, and he's speaking some kind of chant."

Oh no.

Xisuma dropped the snack he was holding, teleported to his code room, and found where his brother was.

XisumaVoid whispers to BdoubleO100 and Etho: Meet me at *** *** ****. It's my brother.

After sending the message, Xisuma teleported to the coordinates, tackling his brother.

"Xavier, snap out of it."

When there was no response, Xisuma slapped him, temporarily stopping his brother from chanting. Etho and Bdubs soon were by Xisuma's side, quickly analyzed the situation, and almost in sync, blasts Xavier with purple and green magic. Xavier gets knocked unconscious and the two magic holders collapse.

"Bdubs? Etho? Are you okay?"

Bdubs sat up, rubbing his head. "Yea... I'm okay. I'm just not used to using that kind of power. It was unexpected."

Etho continued laying down. "Agreed. My head hurts so much, dude."

"What? That kind of power? You've been a listener for years, Bdubs."

"Yes, but Grian made us the temporary kings while he's taking care of Mumbo. I haven't had this kind of surge of power since I was turned." replied Etho. "And that was recently. I can't imagine what it would be like for you, Bdubs."

"Eh. Since Grian helped us unlock our full potential, it's just a little more powerful than normal for me."

"What did you guys do to Xavier?" interrupted Xisuma, putting Xavier's head on his lap. "Is he going to be okay?"

"He'll be fine." responds Etho. "We dispelled the demon controlling him, and he was the one who had stayed in him after getting kicked off of Hermitcraft. The demon was waiting to strike. He was stoppable this time, but had he completed the 'transformation' he wouldn't have been able to be stopped. That is what happened last time."

"Ah. Thanks, you two."

"No problem Suma." replied Bdubs. "We're happy to help!"

Xavier stirs, and rubs his head.

"What happened?" he says, weakly.

"You're free, brother." says Xisuma, happily hugging his brother.

"The demon? Again? Really?"

"Yup. It's gone this time, and without me needing to kick you off."

"That's good."

"I'm so glad you're okay!"

"Me too. When's Grian supposed to get back?"

"I... I don't know. He's staying with Mumbo, so he'll be back whenever Mumbo gets back."

"Okay... I'm going to go to bed, if you don't mind."

"Go ahead. That must have been draining."

"It was. 'Night."

Xavier gets teleported back to Xisuma's base, and X turns to Bdubs and Etho.

"You sure the demon's gone?"

"Positive, but I'm sure Grian would be happy to double check when he gets back." says Bdubs, giving Xisuma a hug.

"Okay. Thank you, again. I didn't want another Evil Xisuma fiasco."

"Of course. I have my base to work on, and I'm sure Bdubs also has stuff to do. We shall see you later, X!" said Etho.

"Bye you two."

Etho and Bdubs teleport back to who-knows-where, while Xisuma teleports to the code room for easy access back to his base. He goes to his bedroom, and Keralis looks up.

"Everything okay?"

"Yup. Dang do I love having powerful beings on my server."

"You mean Etho and Bdubs? And Grian, when he's here?"

"Yes. The same thing that happened to my brother a few seasons ago was about to happen again. Stupid demon. Etho and Bdubs took care of it, and Grian'll check when he gets back."

"Gotcha. You doing okay? You seem a little stressed."

"Just... worried about Mumbo... and now worried about my brother, and I have to make sure the server doesn't get blown up, and..."

"It's going to be okay, Xisuma." said Keralis hugging Xisuma close.

"I know." X said as he dug his face into Keralis's shoulder. "I'm just... worried, like any good admin is."

"Like you are. Trust me, they'll be fine. Do you trust me?"

"Of course!"

"Then try to believe me. They're fine, X."
