Chapter one - moving day

"Hannah, honey, it's already 10 in the morning. We still have to finish moving your things to the university," her mother called from downstairs.

I let out a loud groan; it's too early for this. I get out of bed and take a quick shower. After freshening up, I get dressed and make sure all my clothes are packed and ready to go.

I hurried downstairs with my suitcase full of clothes and quickly stuffed it into the car

"Let's go," I yelled before looking back at my home, knowing that I was finally leaving the place I had hated for the last five years.

We finally arrived at the university and it looked even bigger. My excitement was growing unable to wait to explore this new place

I grab my stuff from the car and wave my mother goodbye. I rush off to the dorm centre to get my keys

Room 517
The top floor this is going to kill me one day luckily they had an elevator although from what I've heard it's always breaking down or not working for some reason

When I reach my room I unpack the rest of my clothes into my drawers. The door is then flung open by my new roommate.

'Hey are you Hannah' the girl softly spoke

'That's me your Maddy I'm guessing' I reply with a smile

'Yep it's so nice to meet you I can tell we are already going to be good friends what degree are you studying?!' She asked

' I'm studying sports sciences I've always wanted to be a sports psychologist as when I was younger I struggled a lot with my health I'm just looking to be someone's light on their dark days! What about you what are you studying' I say eagerly

'Omg, we are going to be an unmatched duo I'm doing sports science too!! Although my motivation isn't as sweet as yours I just wanted to be a physiotherapist for rugby players if u get what I mean she's replied

I look down at the ground slightly trying to decide if I should tell her that I'm gay or not it's not something I hide I just don't want to be bashed for it.

Maddy glances over with a slight confusion on her face
'Are you good?' She's asks

'Yea um well I don't swing that way' I said nervously

'Oh girl I don't give two shit if ur gay bi straight trans and all that or not plus there are loads of girls in this uni but more importantly I've also heard the biology teacher in our course is hot ' she smirks

'Maddy!!! That's our professor that's not even allowed plus there are loads of girls in this uni!' I reply with a slight smile knowing that my type has always been older

' oh just you wait hun you might not be saying that tomorrow' she teases

'Right that's enough of that why don't we go and get our time tables otherwise I'll have no idea where the fuck I'm going' I said to Maddy with a concerned face

'Alright! Alright!' She replies while pulling her arm over my shoulder

When we arrived at the desk we asked for our timetables.

Monday - biology 10 am-12 pm - miss black
Tuesday - sports ( prac ) 2 pm-5 pm - Mr. Evans
Wednesday - psychology 1 pm -3 pm - Mrs Wilkins
Thursday - free
Friday - biology 4 pm - 6 pm - miss black

I looked at Maddy, and our faces dropped when we realized that biology doesn't finish until 6 PM on a Friday. We knew we would be too tired to go out clubbing after our lecture.

After collecting our timetable we both parted ways while going to look at sports clubs that the university offers Maddy was looking at volleyball while I made my way over to the netball courts I signed the trials form excited to see which team I get on.

I rush back to my dorm room and order a takeaway for me and Maddy I just ordered pizza and assumed she liked it I popped on my favourite to show Brooklyn 99. Maddy had walked in with the pizza

'A handsome man made a pizza delivery did you order it' she questioned

'Yea that was me, I was gonna surprise you but you're too busy meeting the love of your life ' I replied sarcastically with a teasing smile.

She smiles and tries to hide the light blush on her cheeks.

We tucked into the pizza and binge-watched Brooklyn 99 till our sleep consumed us.

Hey guys! I just wanted to say hi and thank you all for choosing to read. I hope you continue to do so, but I do want to give a little warning: it's going to be a slow burn.
