Lois "Welcome to Episode 1 of this podcast series. Our first guest is none other than Rebecca Saunders who kindly flew in from Boston to sit down with us today. Now it's fair to say the world sees this amazing woman in various ways but I just know her as my friend Becca. So Becca how are you?"

Becca "Thank you, I am well Lois. Thanks for having me on this podcast. Excited to be the first guest"

L "So you have a range of roles. You are Diana's wife, her closest ally, her support at work and recently someone who spreads her message through speeches and talks. Must be a busy life?"

B "Haha, it is. But its a life I embrace, these roles are needed in this society and I have to try my best to make humanity smile"

L "Very inspiring Becca. I have listened to your speeches and visited the museum in New York. It's fascinating to hear about how you met Diana as well as her lore, which makes it harder to ask unique questions. So I guess I should try and respectfully pry for some more stuff for you to share?"

B "I love your technique Lois, as you are aware I cannot give away secrets but I am willing to open up more. I have the trust of Themyscira and her people and there are things I'd love to delve into more today so fire your questions and we'll work something out"

L "Haha, you may already be my favorite guest. So to start with, I want to talk about your rebirth if you're okay with that"

B "Uh huh"

L "For listeners who don't know, Becca here died whilst saving Amazons in an invasion of Themyscira. She was gone for a year till Diana saved her. This is the first I've ever heard of this happening so I'll leave the floor to you, how did that all feel?"

B "Well, as you mentioned, Themyscira was invaded by Medusa who was influenced by Dr Poison to destroy the society. Medusa was targeting a group of wounded Amazons that I was leading away. She was fighting with Diana at the time but during that fight, she came for me. She destroyed a building we took shelter from and that's the last thing I remember. From that moment on, I died. Diana sacrificed her vision to beat Medusa and then freed her from the curse. For over a year I was dead then I was reborn as an Amazon"

L "Now this is fascinating. I'm sorry to bring up past trauma so forgive my tone"

B "It's fine"

L "Did you go to heaven? Or..."

B "No. I just wasn't conscious. I saw the bricks fall over me and the next moment I came out of a well in a new body. Through my wet hair I saw my Diana crying and holding me tightly. She then carried me to a hill and told me everything. The fact I died, what happened with my auntie, Mera, Clea and how Diana saved me"

L "I guess we can go deeper into these aspects. So with Mera, she is also your friend and you are indebted to her. But from what I hear, Diana and Mera had a connection whilst you were gone. How did that make you feel?"

B "I knew about this because Diana told me. She was honest and opened up about her feelings to Mera. And I understand it. They were both missing the loves of their lives till they found each other. I do not hold a grudge nor ill feelings to either of them. I was happy to learn someone else was there for my angel. Diana and Steve briefly caught feelings too which is understandable. But Diana never lost her love for me. She kept me alive, she kept my engagement ring and she continued being Wonder Woman. She saved lives all whilst battling grief and loss. And I am happy for my friends to be beside her during my absence"

L "Wow that's amazing. Our listeners will definitely be in awe of this story and it is heartwarming to see the love correct itself. So how did she save you?"
