Yuri woke up next, feeling soft, delicate arms wrapped around him. It took a moment for the morning fog to clear from his head, but then he remembered the events of the night prior. His amethyst eyes fluttered open, and he saw his cute little ningyo friend Yuya snuggled up to him. Yuto was on Yuya's other side, stroking the merfolk's soft tomato fluff as he chatted with Zarc, who was on the other side of Yuri. Yugo was between Yuto and the window, sprawled out and snoring.
Yuri listened to Yuto and Zarc's conversation. They appeared to be talking about Yuya's selfless wish to free Yuto. Zarc had a plate of steak and eggs in his lap, and the smell made Yuri hungry. His stomach growled loudly, and both Yuto and Zarc looked at him.
"Hungry?" Yuto asked when he noticed Yuri awake. Yuri nodded, sitting up carefully so as not to wake his darling ningyo. Yuya mumbled in his sleep, stirring a little before settling down and falling back asleep.
Yuto gently tucked the blanket around Yuya before speaking again. "What kind of breakfast foods do you like, Yuri?" he asked. Yuri considered for a moment, then grinned. "I enjoy spicy vegetarian cuisine with sencha green tea. Surprise me!"
Yuto snapped his fingers and a tray appeared on Yuri's lap. The tray had a plate of whole-grain toast with a spread of mashed avocado, lime juice, salt, and diced jalapenos topped with red pepper flakes and feta cheese. There was also a bowl of oats cooked with vegetable broth and mixed with sauteed onions, tomatoes, and green chilis topped with a poached egg. Finally there was a china teapot decorated with sundew flowers and a matching tea cup, sugar bowl, and cream pot.
"Oh, this does look good!" Yuri admitted, admiring the spread. Perhaps having a genie like Yuto around wouldn't be so bad!
