Yugo finally woke up as Yuya was finishing his delicious pancakes. The homunculus opened his eyes and sat up, yawning and stretching. After a moment, he seemed to realize where he was. "Oh yeah! I forgot... my witch threw me away..."
"What was your witch like?" Yuya asked curiously. Yugo was quiet for a moment, then said, "Well, she wasn't a very good witch. Her spells almost always backfired, and she was always screaming at me and throwing me around when her spells went wrong. She was good at potions though, but anyone can make a decent potion as long as they mix the right amounts of the right ingredients. But whenever she tried to cast a spell that required actual skill, she would usually fail. And she always blamed me for getting in the way if I was around, or for not being there to support her if I was somewhere else..."
"Sounds like she was just an all-around terrible person in general," Zarc said, his golden eyes gleaming. "I think I might pay her a little visit. Wouldn't want her to get away with how she treated you!"
"Well, now I can understand why she threw you into my garden," Yuri muttered. "She was just being a bully. You didn't deserve to be treated that way. I can't really blame you for my ruined cabbages..."
"Do you want something to eat?" Yuto asked Yugo, then paused. "Do homunculi even eat?"
"We can if our witch lets us," Yugo replied. "My witch never let me though. I've always wanted to try corndogs too..."
Yuto snapped his fingers and a plate of corndogs appeared in Yugo's lap along with a variety of condiments. Yugo squealed in excitement. "Thanks!"
