As they were finishing up in the garden, Yuya heard a soft sound behind him. Turning, he saw a cute little fluffy creature prowling around, watching him. He squealed in excitement, "Yuri! Yuri look! It's a puppy!"
"Uh, Yuya, that's not a puppy," Yuto said, noticing the creature. "That's a fox."
"A fluffy boy!" Yuya squealed, petting the fox. Said fox rolled over to let the tomato-head rub its belly.
"Nuh-uh! No way! Go away fox!" Yuri said angrily. "I won't have you stealing my fruits and veggies!"
"Don't worry, Yuri," Zarc reassured him. "My protection spells won't let any foxes steal from your garden." Yuri looked unconvinced, glaring at the fox.
"Yuri, just look at him!" Yuya said, looking up at Yuri with wide puppy eyes. "He's so cute! And fluffy! We gotta keep him!"
The fluffy fox began making a sound that sounded like laughter, and Yuri scowled. "No, Yuya, no foxes allowed!" he said, before making the fatal mistake of looking at Yuya. Yuya's puppy eyes were his undoing. He looked too cute and sad for Yuri's stone heart to handle. "Oh... oh no... Yuya, don't..."
Yuya continued to give Yuri his puppy eyes, much to the cabbage-head's dismay. He couldn't say no to that face. Though he attempted to resist, in the end, the puppy eyes won. "Okay, fine, you can keep him, but he better not cause any trouble!"
"Yay!" Yuya hugged Yuri tightly. "Thank you, Yuri!"
