Misunderstanding

Yuya immediately got to work taking care of his new pet fox. He pet the fox happily, "I will name you Timothy! Do you eat fish, Timothy?"

Timothy yipped at Yuya, nuzzling his hand. Yuya looked at his companions, "Do foxes eat fish? I don't wanna feed him something he can't eat."

"Yes, foxes can and do eat fish, though they usually hunt and scavenge birds and small mammals like rabbits," Zarc reassured him. "They've even been known to actively fish."

"Oh! We should go fishing together, Timothy!" Yuya said happily. Yugo blinked at him in surprise. "Wait, aren't you part fish?"

"Merfolk aren't fish," Yuto told him before Yuya could get offended. "They're a completely different species. Saying they're fish or even part fish is like saying a human is an ape. They may be distantly related, but they're not the same, and it's actually offensive if you call them that."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Yuya, I didn't know," Yugo apologized. Yuya smiled warmly at him, "It's okay, Yugo. Wanna come fishing with me and Timothy?"

"Yes please!" Yugo said happily. "I've always wanted to try fishing!"

"What about you guys?" Yuya asked the others. Yuto, Yuri, and Zarc shook their heads, and Yuri said, "Fishing isn't my thing. You two enjoy yourselves though! Maybe you can bring something home for dinner!"
