Unbeknownst to the four beings, they had an audience watching them from the shadows. A shadow-like figure observed the four boys, intrigued by the similarities in their faces. Like Yuri, the figure had heard Yuya singing every night, and had been enchanted by the beautiful sound. The figure had watched as Yuri had found the merfolk, and followed as he'd brought Yuya home with him. The figure had observed as Yuya freed Yuto from his prison of servitude, and as Yugo had crash-landed in Yuri's garden.
The figure was simply fascinated by these beautiful creatures. They reminded him of himself, and the figure wanted to keep them all for himself. To allow someone else the chance to steal these lovely things from him was simply unthinkable. He couldn't risk it. He wouldn't allow it!
"My pretty little Yuus," he murmured. "You're mine. All mine! Nobody else can have you!"
