Yuya was the next to wake up, his ruby eyes fluttering open, then squeezing shut again against the morning light. "Blech... sunlight..." he mumbled. "Me no likey sunlight... The sun has no business being up this early..."
Yuto chuckled, "This early? Yuya, it's almost ten in the morning!"
"Exactly," Yuya pouted, looking pitifully at him. Zarc smiled, ruffling his soft tomato fluff. "Well, ningyo's are primarily crepuscular-nocturnal creatures. They're relatively inactive during daylight hours."
"True," Yuto conceded. "Well, since you're awake, would you like some breakfast, Yuya?"
"Mhm," Yuya hummed. "Yes, please!"
"What would you like to eat?" Yuto asked. Yuya thought for a moment, then said, "I've always wanted to try pancakes. They look so yummy!"
"Alright, Western pancakes or Japanese?" Yuto asked, raising a hand. Yuya blinked. "Is there a difference?"
"Yeah, Western pancakes are usually flat, while Japanese pancakes are more like a souffle," Yuri explained. Yuya blinked in surprise. "I... don't know what that is... Uhm..."
Yuto chuckled. "Here, let me grant your wish for the pancakes you want," he said, snapping his fingers. Immediately a plate of thick, fluffy Japanese pancakes appeared in Yuya's lap. Yuya squealed in excitement and immediately dug in. "Yummy!"
