Zarc made his way to the other side of the forest, searching for the village Yugo had mentioned. It didn't take too long for him to find it, and he quickly found the witch's house. He could sense Yugo's lingering energy around the hut from before the witch had thrown him away.

The demon slipped into the hut and immediately saw the witch. She had Yugo's energy all over her, so Zarc knew immediately she was the blunana's ex-witch. The witch was muttering over a cauldron, clearly trying to brew a potion. Nearby, a petite female homunculus was hovering over her, lending her power. Every now and then the witch affectionately pet the female homunculus's hair.

"Well THAT hardly seems fair!" Zarc said, causing the witch and her homunculus to jump and shriek. "You treat that homunculus far better than you treated my poor Yugo!"

"Who's there?!" the witch shrieked. "I warn you! I'm a powerful witch and I'll curse you!"

Zarc snorted. "You? Powerful? In your dreams! And curse me? The King of the Demons? I don't think so!" He stepped forward and the witch's eyes widened in horror as she saw the demon. "You hurt my precious Yugo! You abused him and then cast him aside when you got a shiny new homunculus! What's so special about her that she gets treated with affection while my sweet little banana muffin was treated so horribly?"

The female homunculus squeaked in terror and hid behind the witch, who stammered with wide eyes. Finally, she managed to get out, "I don't like boy homunculi! I wanted a girl one!"

"Mm, well in that case, I will have no regrets whatsoever about what I'm about to do!" Zarc replied coldly, raising his hands. He began muttering in the Demonic tongue placing a powerful curse on the witch. Blood-red energy swirled around his hand as he spoke, and his golden eyes glowed.

The witch shrieked in horror as she felt the infernal magic swirl around her. "No! No! Stop!" she wailed. But it was too late. The energy swirling around Zarc's hands vanished and the glow in his eyes faded. An evil smirk played across his lips as he turned to leave. At the door he paused and spoke one last time.

"The curse will take effect in three moons' time," he said. Then, he disappeared.
