DREAM - 04

Lookmhee's Pov:

"Took you long." He says as I sit on the passenger seat.

I had asked Ek to use my car after Sonya and Yoko were back at their apartment. I was asking him to drive since I was planning to buy a wedding dress.

"Ek, why are you doing this to me? Why can't you let me be happy?" I randomly blurted.

I did think that he wanted me to marry him. I mean, who would marry me and give me money for it? And also where did he find him? How could he just randomly find a guy like Ek, who can pay for hospital bills?

"You think I'm happy? I have someone I love too. Do you think that I wanted to do this as well?" He replied while my eyes widened as I found out that he had a lover already. He didn't look bothered when I asked him that question, which made it feel a bit better for me.

Considering that the first time I met him, I thought he would be a problem. He seems nice, after all. It was just "my father" that made me think otherwise.

"You have a lover? I mean I thought you liked me."

"Really? Do you think I liked you? That's funny to think.

"Haha, is it funny? Funny to think that we have someone we already love? Wouldn't it be just better to not do this?"

"I would wish so. You need the money and my parents need me to have a partner. You know that the only reason your mother is still alive is because of my parents' business. Thanks to your father I was able to find someone who could fake being my partner."

"Ahh, it's fine. But, could you please not mention him?"

"Him? You mean your father?"

"Yes, him. I don't consider him as my father at all. Anyways, I have to pick up a dress. The wedding is in a week or so."

"Aren't you supposed to do that with your bridesmaids and Maid of Honor? You know the groom shouldn't see what the bride will wear. Isn't it the belief of some people?"

"Some people's belief. And no, I won't let her. I don't want her to help me; she just had gotten into an incident. Also one only. One bridesmaid. I don't have a Maid of Honor."

"You don't have a Maid of Honor?! You also only have one bridesmaid!?"

"Yes. I would have wanted Sonya to be one but... I couldn't push myself too."

"Why not? You trust, don't you?"

"Can you not understand? She's the one I love."

Silence filled the car.

Each car passing yet none of the two of us tried to talk.

"Then.. does that mean she's hurt because you're with someone else?" Ek finally broke the silence, "We're not together. We just... I mean I just.. like her. I like her more than a friend. I couldn't see her being close to me, being happy that I'm getting married." I answer.

Seeing her that way makes me feel annoyed. Why would she be happy for me to be with someone else and not her?

It's also just so annoying to think as well. I know that I would want to see her happy yet, I can't seem to like the fact she's happy if I was with someone else. Still, even if it hurts to see, I think it's best like that. As long as she's happy I'm happy.

"You like her? And you haven't said so? I think you shouldn't keep those feelings to yourself. Why would you also not want to see her see you getting married?"

Continuing our conversation.

"Why should I? She won't like me back. I vividly remember her saying we won't get married. Were both girls. Plus, answering your second question, seeing her happy about this wedding hurts me as she's happy that I would be with someone else rather than her."
