Chapter Forty Four

As soon as they started from Ashwin's office, they stopped by their favourite bakery, got some snacks along with their favourite paneer puffs and brownies. Sivaangi connected her mobile with car's blue tooth and her travel playlist was playing.
They both were vibing as Ashwin drew out of the city. Once they were on the outskirts' highway, Sivaangi cheekily put on her new playlist which is filled with love songs sung by women.
Ashwin didn't notice it at first when 'Maayam Seidhayo' song from the movie 'velayudham' played. She vibed to the song and he drove with a smile. The 90s kid in him loved it when she, with her gaze fixed on him, sang along to the song 'Snehidhaney' from 'Alaipayuthey'.
He couldn't help but bite his lower lip to withhold his blush when she sang 'Sandiyare sandiyare' song from 'Virumandi'. The way her eyes moved and lips curled into a blush as she sang to him made him go crazy. Her hand movements and the way her index finger jabbed on his chest was cherry on top.
But when she sang 'Vaaya en veera' from 'Kanchana 2', he gulped when she moved from her seat and leaned on him as she traced his bicep. Her voice dropped octaves as she suggestively sang, "Moochukkaathula maarudham pola mama... vaa Maarbodu paanjikko Konjam saanjikko Enna menjikko nidhaanamaa" and that was it.
"Ma!" Ashwin rasped, clearly taken aback while Sivaangi batted her eyebrows innocently at him. Clearing his voice, he said, "Seat belt potu okaru ma. Highway la poetu irukom"
(Put on the seat belt. We are travelling in highway)
Giving Ashwin a sweet smile, Sivaangi smirked inwardly and sat back on her seat, singing the rest of the song. He mentally heaved a sigh of relief as he tried to shake off her suggestive voice. God! He could still feel her hot breath lingering on him.
Ashwin's eyes widen when he heard the beginning chorus of the next song. Thankfully the road wasn't crowded. So, he looked at Sivaangi who leaned her back on the car door and sat facing him.
'Ammadi ammadi' song from 'Desingu Raja' started playing and Ashwin gasped when Sivaangi bounced her eyebrow when the lyrics played "Nerungi oru tharam paakkavaa Aiyodi aiyodi Mayangi madiyinil pookkavaa"
'Aathi! Dei, Ashwineyy, nera road ah paru, avala pakadha. Control! Control!'
(Oh my! Ashwineyy, keep your eyes on road. Don't look at her. Control! Control!)
Clearing his throat, Ashwin focussed on driving. Giggling at his plight, Sivaangi continued humming the song as rain started to drizzle. He sighed in relief but coughed when she sang, "Anindha udaigalum naanamum Vilagi pogiradhae Edharkku idaiveli endru than Idhayam ketkkiradhae"
