Ashaangi SS Bewitched

Chapter Thirty Six

Sivaangi rubbed her hands together, trying to keep herself warm. She watched as Ashwin sauté the vegetables in the pan while she was seated on a chair. She didn't dare keep her bare feet on the floor as it was chill.

'Night kulurum, socks eduthu vachuko nu indha manushan sonna apove eduthu vachurukanum. Cheh!' Sivaangi thought adjusting her sweater.

(I should have listened to him when he said it'll be cold at night and pack socks. Cheh!)

After their promenade around the lake, they decided to cook something lite for the dinner. Ashwin offered to prepare soup and cheese toast and Sivaangi readily agreed. They bought the ingredients on their way back.

Once they refreshed, Sivaangi dragged Ashwin to the kitchen. She wasn't that hungry but she wanted to watch him cook. They chatted as he cut the vegetables leisurely and then he started cooking.

Sivaangi blew into her palm as an attempt to keep herself warm. With airpods on, Ashwin was on a business call with Sanjay and Stanley. She looked at him closely, the way his hair dances to his movements, his hold on the wooden spatula and the way he tossed the pan with veggies.

Every single movement was extremely normal but in Sivaangi's eyes, Ashwin looked attractive. She looked at him dreamily, admiring him. Ashwin, who just wind up the call, paused and half-smiled as he saw Sivaangi lost in him.

Chuckling, Ashwin switched off the flame and set the pan aside before snapping his fingers in front of Sivaangi, pulling her out of her trance.

"Madam enn azhagu la mayangitinga polaruke?" Ashwin teased with an eyebrow raised.

(Is Madam lost in my handsomeness?)

Sivaangi gave a sheepish smile and then took Ashwin's hand in hers.

"Semma kulir la?" Sivaangi placed Ashwin's palm on her cheek.

(It's very chill, right?)

Ashwin smiled and grabbed Sivaangi's chin with his other hand. With a suggestive wink, he said, "I can help you in keeping you warm, you know"

Sivaangi looked up and down at Ashwin before shaking her head, "Neenga adhuku ellam seri pattu vara matinga, Ashwineyy"

(You are only full of words and nothing else, Ashwineyy)

"Heyy!" Ashwin sounded offended.

Sivaangi laughed, "Ponga, poe dinner panunga"

(Go, prepare dinner)

"Nee ena romba underestimate panra ma!" Ashwin complained.

(You are underestimating me a lot!)

"Aahan, focus on din-" Sivaangi paused in between when her mobile blared. It was Anusha's call.
