The following day, I woke up to an unfamiliar sense of calm. Sofia had taken down the blog posts as promised, and even posted a retraction, apologizing for her role in spreading the rumors. It was surreal seeing her admit her fault so publicly, and for a moment, I allowed myself to believe that things might finally return to normal.

But the calm didn’t last long. As I walked through campus, there was an unusual hush in the air. Whispers filled the hallways, and people glanced my way with unreadable expressions. I felt my stomach knot with anxiety as I passed a group of students huddled around a phone, their eyes flicking to me before quickly looking away.

Lily caught up with me, her expression tense. “Aniya, have you seen it?”

“Seen what?”

She pulled out her phone and handed it to me. On the screen was a new blog post—not from Sofia this time, but from an anonymous source. The title read:

*"The Truth Behind Aniya Valdez’s Double Life: Betrayal, Lies, and Dangerous Games."*

I froze, my heart pounding. I skimmed through the post, horrified as I read the twisted details. It painted me as a manipulative girl who had strung both Adler and Rio along, pitting them against each other for attention. The post went even further, suggesting that I had fabricated the stalking incidents to make myself look like a victim.

“This… this isn’t true,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “Who would do this?”

Lily shook her head, looking just as shaken. “I don’t know, but this is bad, Aniya. People are going to believe it.”

I clenched my fists, a mixture of fear and anger bubbling inside me. Whoever had posted this wanted to ruin my life—and they were succeeding. My phone buzzed with messages from concerned friends, and I could already see the looks on people’s faces changing, from sympathetic to suspicious.

Later that day, I met up with Adler, Julian, and Lily to discuss our next move. The tension in the room was palpable, each of us feeling the weight of this latest attack.

“This isn’t a coincidence,” Adler said, his tone serious. “Someone is trying to isolate Aniya, to make her look like the villain.”

Julian nodded. “And it’s working. People are already talking. If we don’t find out who’s behind this, things could get a lot worse.”

Lily looked at me, her face filled with concern. “Do you think… do you think Rio could be behind this?”

I hesitated, considering the possibility. Rio had always been intense, his obsession with me disturbing. But this? This felt calculated, like someone had planned every detail to turn my friends and classmates against me.

“It could be him,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper. “But… I don’t know. This doesn’t feel like him.”

Adler put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “We’ll figure it out. We just need to be careful. Whoever’s behind this is dangerous, and they won’t stop until they’ve gotten what they want.”

That night, I lay awake, my mind racing with questions. Who would go to such lengths to ruin my life? Why was I being targeted like this? I thought back to the people who knew the details of my relationship with Adler and Rio, but I couldn’t think of anyone who would do something so malicious.

The next morning, I found another note slipped under my dorm room door. My heart sank as I unfolded it, dreading what it might say.

*“You thought you could fool everyone, but the truth always comes out.”*

I stared at the note, feeling a chill run down my spine. This wasn’t just about Rio anymore—someone else was watching me, someone who wanted to see me suffer.
