"Does that mean Rooh isn't marrying by her choice?"
"It was just an act in the beginning, but now it doesn't seem that way. I've seen her genuinely happy with Abhiyansh; she fits with him. It's her chance to be happy now, Amaan. We shouldn't stand in the way," Jaidev said, making him nod.
So many days had passed, and everything was falling into place. Their wedding was near, and thankfully, there were no more fights at Rooh's home, except for a few taunts from Devki that didn't bother her much.
During this time, Rooh and Abhiyansh grew closer. They spent time together, went on dates, enjoyed their bachelor days, and, surprisingly for Rooh, it didn't feel like they had met just a few weeks ago-their bond felt much deeper.
----------------"Hi," she said softly, looking down at her toes.
"Just 'hi'? Is that how you're going to greet your soon-to-be husband?"
"Huh?" She looked up at him with a disappointed, shocked expression, which made him chuckle.
He moved closer, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her toward him. "What I mean is, you should start using different ways of greeting me now. 'Hi' is too basic."
"How should I do it, then?" I asked him, lowering my head. I admit, I was shy.
"Are you getting shy now?" he teased, trying to make me look at him as he peeked up at me. I blushed, and then he started tickling me.
"Ansh ji-mat kariye-rukein na!" I stammered between laughs, as he found my ticklish spot and kept going, finally twirling me around.(Ansh ji-please don't-stop)
I could hear his loud laughter; it was the first time I'd heard him laugh so purely-not just that dry chuckle. So he does know how to laugh, I thought.
I'd assumed he didn't laugh because of the poker face he wore 99% of the time. But guess what-I discovered his 1%, just for me. Oh, I'm privileged. Damn, Rooh, you're lucky!
