"Today is the day! I'll finally be married to Ansh ji and become a part of his family. I'm so happy, Maa!" She murmured, holding her Maa's photo tightly in her hand.
A smile refused to leave her lips, and she was practically giggling with excitement. Akshita watched her with a grin.
"Fine, fine, I know how much you love your Ansh ji! And yes, I know it's nothing like that," she teased, laughing.
Rooh laughed with her, happiness bubbling up. "Just one thing — don't let anyone play sad songs at my wedding," she warned, glancing pointedly at Abhir. "I'm telling you in advance!'
"Not even during the vidai?" he teased back.
A small, bittersweet smile tugged at her lips as she glanced at her Maa's photo. "Yes, not even during the vidai."
"I don't even know if I'll cry. Why would I? I'm stepping into the biggest happiness of my life." she thought to herself.
She was almost ready, only her bangles remained. She was about to slip them on when she heard Amaan's voice at the door.
"Can I do it?" he asked softly, holding out his hand.
She was too surprised to respond at first, but then nodded at him, a wide smile breaking out. As he carefully placed each bangle on her wrist, she felt a deep warmth fill her heart. Her other hand was gently lifted, and she turned to see her father there, his eyes filled with pride and love.
Amaan made her wear her mother's bracelet too, making her emotional. She wiped away the single tear that dared to fall.
In that moment, a pang of longing hit her — the absence of her Maa felt heavy, even on this day of joy. But she swallowed it down, focusing on her family's warmth surrounding her.
"Don't worry about anything, Rooh. Do whatever your heart tells you; today is your day. No one — not even Bua — is going to interfere," Amaan assured her, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Just then, they all heard the soft click of a camera shutter — Akshita, capturing these precious moments.
"Lead a happy life, Rooh. My blessings are always with you," Jaidev murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
She closed her eyes as he placed his hand on her head, and Amaan gently placed a kala tikka behind her ear to ward off the evil eye.
It was finally time for her entry as a bride. As she stepped out of the room, a loud cheer erupted from the crowd. The sound made her heart soar, and a joy unlike anything she'd ever known spread through her.
Everything was so beautifully arranged — the decorations, the lighting, the colors. The venue was truly a dream, bathed in a soft glow from golden chandeliers.
But the real charm came from the flowers. Tulips — Rooh's favorite — were everywhere. Rows of tulips, in every color from blush pink to deep violet, lined the stage, the entire place feel magical.
