"Hamesha ka yahi natak hai aapka, yaar bhai," Akshita said angrily and threw her bag on the floor.(You always do this drama, brother)
"Manners," Abhiyansh said in a stern tone.
"Bhul gayi hai na, sikha dein ek baar phirse, Badi Maa," Abhir said, trying to have some fun but went silent when a strong glare fell on him. (She has forgotten, right? Should we teach her once again, Badi Maa?)
"Ansh , let it be, don't shout on her" Suhani said from behind trying to calm his anger down.
"Chachi, I'm not some old narrow-minded man, but ask your lovely daughter what was the reason for lying to me? I hate lies. If she wanted to go to the party, she could have told me. Even if she was denied, lying is not an option. I hate this one thing with all my might, and she knows it very well, yet chose to get on my nerves," Abhiyansh said, his tone full of anger and disappointment.
He never expected Akshita to lie. He knew she was childish and did things immaturely, but not a liar but today he was proved wrong.
"Kitni makkar hai," Abhir commented and giggled softly, but she noticed.(How cunning she is)
"Abhir, muh band kar le apna. Mere gussa chadh gaya na to-" Akshita said, gritting her teeth.(Abhir, shut your mouth. If I get angry-)
Abhiyansh walked away, shaking his head, seeing them still bickering like 12-year-old kids.
She angrily went to the hall and sat on the sofa with her nose scrunched up, arms folded across her chest, and an annoyed expression on her face. Abhir also went and sat near her, then started humming a random tune and tickling her stomach.Though he loved irritating her and troubling her, he never liked seeing her sad, even if he was the reason.
Unable to handle him any longer, she threw a pillow at his face and shouted, "Manja, Abhir!"
"Fine, now will you tell me what exactly happened? Why's bhai so angry with you?"
"I called bhai and said I'd go to Ananya's home after college but instead went to my school friends' reunion."
"And how did bhai get to know you lied?"
"Bhai was at that place for some work and saw me. AND I DIDN'T LIE IN THE FIRST PLACE," she said, emphasizing each word as she was tired of everyone labeling her a 'liar' when she wasn't.
"Tell me the whole story," Abhir asked with a hint of curiosity.
She turned to his side, sat comfortably, and said, "See, I was really going to Ananya's home when I informed bhai and he agreed. But when I got there, we were notified about a sudden reunion which had been decided 10 days ago. I was unreachable to them, but Karan, if you remember him, somehow got to me and Ananya and forced us to attend. When I tried to call bhai back, his phone was turned off. That's why he didn't even know that I tried to call him, and when he saw me there, the mess happened"
