Chapter 11

Riley's POV

Once the bell rings, the four of us head to the lockers.

"We have a few minutes before next period," Farkle said opening his locker. "What do you guys want to talk about?"

"I don't know." Maya said putting her foot against the lockers.

"Well," Lucas said with a smile. "Who y'all  partnered up with for this here self harming presentation?"

..Okay, is it just me or is Lucas' southern accent making him even cuter?..

"I'm partnered up with Yogi." Farkle simply answered.

"Sarah." Maya simply answered.

"Oh, the new girl!" I said.

"Yeah, she's alright."

"What about you guys?" Farkle asked Lucas and I.

Lucas' POV

"Um, actually-" Riley said but I cut her off and finished her sentence.

"Riley and I are partners for this here assignment."

"Really Ranger Rick? This here?" Maya said rolling her eyes.

"You know, Ranger Rick," Riley said with a small smirk on her face. "I could've finished that sentence."

"Yeah, but admit it, you like it when I talk in my southern accent" I said giving her a wink.

"Okay, you two are acting more lovey-dovey than usual." Farkle said then he slammed his locker close.

Riley's POV

"I'm going to class early, are you guys coming with?" Maya asked.

"Farkle will go!" Farkle said raising his hand.

"Okay, what about you two?" Maya asked referring to Lucas and I.

"Oh, sorry ma'am, but I needed to talk to this little lady right before class." Lucas answered.

..Well that crushed my heart a little. I thought I was the only person that he called ma'am..

"No, I get it. The two love birds need some privacy." Maya said wiggling her eyebrows at us.

"Just go to class, Maya." I said.

Maya and Farkle share a quick laugh then head to class.

Once they're gone I turn to Lucas and say "I thought I was the only person that you called ma'am." Then I gave him my best puppy eyes.

"Back in Texas I usually called every women ma'am, ya know, depending how old they were compared to my age."

I decide to tilt my head, let out a few whimpers, and bat my eyes.

"Okay, okay little pup! You'll be the only person I call ma'am while I do this challenge thing."

"Nah, that's alright. Little lady works to." I said and I let out a little giggle.  

Then I hear Lucas mumble something.

"What did you say, Lucas?" I ask hoping that he would repeat what he said.

"Oh, uh, it was nothing." Lucas said without his accent.

I give him a confused face and he understood why I gave him the face so he said "Erm, I mean, it was jus nothing, ma'am."

Lucas' POV

I actually said 'Riley is so adorable' under my breath, I'm not sure why I didn't come clean.

..I should've just told her. It probably would've made her day..

"Wait, you're older then Maya and I. Why do call us ma'am?"

"Because it's fun! Plus it does count because a lot of people say ma'am back in Texas."

"Okay, okay. So what did you want to talk to me about before class?"

"Uh, ya see, I could've waited to tell you this after school, but I can't wait that long-"

"Just get to the point Lucas."

"We might have to pull an all nighter to finish our history presentation. I know that is sort of a bad thing because I know you go to sleep early on weekdays but the good thing is that I get to hang out with my favorite gal."

Riley giggled again and I said "She's so adorable." under my breath again.

"Y-you think I'm adorable?" Riley said blushing.

..Oh, she heard me that time. At least I don't have to feel guilty anymore..

"Of course. That was what I said a second ago." I said gently touching her right cheek which made her blush even more. "Sorry for not telling you earlier. To be honest the guilt was killing me."

"It's alright, Lucas."

"We should probably head to class but I need to go use the bathroom, can you wait for me? It won't take long, Riles."

"Sure, I'll just be waiting," Riley said sitting down on the floor and took out a gigantic book. "Down here."

"How many pages are in that book?"

"I don't know, I never checked." Riley said flipping to the end of the book. "Uh, there's 467."

"Whoa."

"Yeah, whoa."

Missy's POV

I was just about to skip school when I hear some familiar voices.

"Okay, I'll be back Riles."

..That has to be Lucas. Maybe I can get him to skip school with me..

I was going to update this chapter a few days ago. At 1 in the morning.

But I thought you guys could wait.

I might update the next chapter today if I feel like.
