**THIS IS NOT A REAL CHAPTER. THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T LIKE TO READ AUTHOR'S NOTES JUST READ THE PARAGRAPH IN BOLD WRITING (OTHER THAN THIS PARAGRAPH.) THIS GOES TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW TO MY BOOK TOO. THANK YA**

EVERYONE. I'M STILL ALIVE.

So apparently I went from updating this book a day later, to a week later, to a month later, to three months later, tHEN FIVE MONTHS LATER.

I'm sooooo sorry, you just have no idea what I was going through in the past five months I was inactive.

There was so much homework assigned. Like a ridiculously large amount of homework. It was rare for me not to do an all nighter to finish homework, finish projects, and/or study for tests. The smallest amount of time I got to sleep was 1 hour. I think I might be a zombie.

Oh, and on top of a lack of sleep, I had to go though so much drama with family, friends, classmates, and relationships (like boyfriend and girlfriend relationships).

Small rant about the friend drama: It's so weird how someone that you were really good friends with, someone that you trusted and told all of your deepest darkest secrets to, someone that you cared about so much, could become a stranger and a memory from the past in a snap, ya know?

But the universe works in many strange and different ways, which is hard and maybe impossible for us humans to understand, which is what my history teacher said one day. Yeah, I pay attention in class.

Anyways, I'm so glad that I can get a break from all of that shit, but it's only a two month break..

So, about the book. I thought about deleting the book because I haven't updated a new chapter in so long and after rereading chapters 1-15, I noticed that this book is all over the place. There's a lot going on, the plot is sorta unclear because there's a lot going on in this book. Also, I found a bunch of grammar mistakes, which isn't a big deal, I know.

I've decided to continue writing this story, but I'm going to not include Maya's and possibly Riley's starving issue. I don't know if any of you remember Maya and possibly Riley having an issue with starving themselves, but those of you who do remember, just know that I'm not going to include it in the book because I don't think it's necessary. The self harming and bullying issue is enough drama, to be honest.

Also, for those of you who barely remember anything about this book because it's been so long since I've updated a new chapter, here's a summary of chapters 1-15 so that you don't have to reread all of those chapters. You're welcome.

The chapters aren't that long, actually. It took me about 30ish minutes to reread chapters 1-15.. but why not include a summary.

The book, Broken Hearted, starts off with Riley, the main character, learning about self harming during a lesson in her father's history class. The class is told that they have two days to come up with a presentation on self harming with a partner that the teacher chose. Riley is partnered with Lucas, her love interest, but they can't work on their presentation after school because Lucas has baseball practice. When switching to her next class, Riley sees that Maya has left class without her and wonders why they have been drifting away from each other all of a sudden. While Riley was walking to her next class, she runs into Missy, who puts her down with hurtful words for being partnered and for being friends with Lucas for the self harming presentation. Missy's words bring Riley down, but Riley acts like her normal perky self throughout the school day so that no one would suspect anything.

After school, Riley's mom asks Riley to wash dishes because she has to do paperwork. Frustrated at the sight of her mom watching television and not working on paperwork like she said she had to do, Riley refuses to do he dishes. Riley ends up having to do the dishes, and ends up putting herself and her mom in a bad mood. Riley's mom made Riley feel even more down, and as a result she spots a knife in the pile of dishes and thinks back to the self harming lesson that was taught during history class. Then, Riley decided to cut herself, putting herself down with hurtful words.

The next morning, Riley tries her best to act like her normal perky self, as if she had never self harmed herself. She also acts suspicious because she is bad at keeping secrets. Maya shows up at the Mathews' apartment, asking if she and Riley could take the subway to school. Riley's mom gives them permission to go, and apologizes to Riley for not being able to wash the dishes herself. After accepting her mom's apology, Riley and Maya head to the subway.

At the subway, the girls realize that they are early, so they sit and talk while waiting for the subway train to come. Maya explains that she wanted to take the subway with Riley because she had noticed that the two of them had been drifting away from each other too. Maya also says that they haven't been talking as much as they used to so she wanted to take the time to talk and see if anything new was happening in Riley's life. After quickly saying no, Riley considers telling Maya that she had self harmed. Before Riley could make a decision, the subway train came, so Riley decided not to say anything.

After history class that day, Lucas tells Riley that they might have to pull an all nighter. The two friends didn't mind having to pull an all nighter because they would get to spend more time with each other. Before heading to their next class, Lucas asks Riley to wait for him while he uses the bathroom. While walking to the bathroom, Missy comes up to Lucas and asks him if  he wants to skip school with her. After Lucas stated that he had never and will never skip school, Missy goes over to where Riley was waiting for Lucas and puts her down, once again, with hurtful words. While Missy was putting Riley down, Lucas came and brought Riley up by sticking up for her.

After school, while alone in her room, Riley heard Missy's words in her head. Missy's hurtful words kept putting Riley down, and believing that her words were true resulted to more cuts on Riley's wrist. Not being able to clean up her bloody wrist before Lucas came into her room to work on their presentation resulted to Riley's secret being revealed. Lucas, again, brought Riley up by telling her not to pay attention to Missy's words and to stay strong for her family, friends, and especially himself . Lucas told her to stay strong, especially for him because he loves her. Riley admitted that she loves him too, and the two friends sat and talked for four hours straight, just so that they could still do the all nighter.

By 3am the two friends finished all of their homework and their presentation. Riley was more exhausted than Lucas because she never sleeps that late on school nights. Riley's mom tells him to sleep over because it is late. Lucas says that he will text his momma, and Riley sleepily states that it is adorable when Lucas calls his mom momma. She also states that she is in love with him. After picking her up off the ground, Lucas gently places Riley on her bed, kisses her on the forehead, and the two friends say their good nights.

This summary was a lot longer than I expected it to be. I wonder if anyone read the entire thing. If you did read the whole thing, I'd give you a high-five if I could.
