As you sat your baby girl down on the plush couch in the lobby, you smiled at her, knowing how adorable she would look all bundled up for the cold. Jay stood nearby, holding the bags as you prepared her for the winter night. She was already kicking her tiny feet excitedly, her grabby hands reaching for anything within reach as you began dressing her.

First, you slipped on her tiny mittens, ensuring each little finger was snug. Then, you placed a soft beanie hat on her head, her baby hair sticking out slightly from underneath. Her giggle filled the room as you wrapped her up in a cute scarf, her chubby cheeks practically swallowed by the warm material. You couldn't help but chuckle as you moved to her snow pants and tiny boots, ensuring her feet would stay warm on the snowy ground. Finally, you zipped her into her puffy jacket, adding the final touch—a hood that made her look like a tiny ball of fluff.

Jay leaned down next to you, his eyes softening at the sight of her all bundled up. His lips brushed your ear as he whispered, "She's so cute."

You glanced back at him, the warmth in your chest swelling as you looked down at your daughter. "Yup, and she's ours," you replied softly, squeezing her tiny hand as she tried to stand up on her wobbly legs. She could walk now, her baby steps hesitant but determined, her little feet making soft thuds against the floor as she found her balance.

Jay straightened up, his eyes never leaving your daughter as she slowly waddled toward him. She held onto your hand for support, her steps small and cautious at first, but soon, she grew more confident, taking one step after another with a proud little smile.

As you both made your way toward the door, your daughter's eyes caught sight of the dogs lounging near the guards. Her face lit up with excitement, and before you could stop her, she tugged at your hand, pulling you toward them with surprising speed. "Whoa, slow down, sweetheart!" you laughed as you stumbled forward, trying to keep up with her tiny legs.

You bent down, gently turning her toward the dogs, watching her with curious eyes. "Say bye, doggy!" you encouraged, waving your hand slowly to demonstrate. "Sweetheart, say bye-bye!"

Your daughter's eyes followed your movements, and though she couldn't speak yet, she mimicked your wave with her little hand. Her toothless giggle filled the lobby as she enthusiastically waved at the dogs. The guards smiled, and even the dogs seemed to wag their tails at her eager goodbye.

Jay stood behind you, watching the entire scene unfold with an amused expression. His eyes softened as he saw your daughter waving goodbye, her tiny hand moving in the air as her giggles echoed through the room. He touched your shoulder, squeezing you as he whispered, "She's growing up fast, isn't she?"

You nodded, your heart swelling with a mix of pride and nostalgia. "Yeah, too fast," you murmured, watching her as she wobbled closer to the dogs, still waving as if they were old friends.

After a few more playful waves and giggles, you gently tugged her back toward the door. "Alright, time to go home, baby," you said, giving her a warm smile as you helped her balance her feet.

Jay held the door open for you, watching as you guided your daughter outside into the cold night air. She looked up at the snowy sky in wonder, her tiny breath puffing out in little clouds as she giggled again, her little hand clutching yours tightly.

As you made your way down the steps, her baby boots crunching softly in the snow, you couldn't help but glance over at Jay. His eyes were fixed on the two of you, a rare warmth in his expression as he watched his family, his tough exterior momentarily forgotten in the presence of his little girl.

For a brief moment, everything felt perfect—just you, Jay, and your precious baby girl, making memories together one tiny step at a time.
