Hum tere bin ab reh nahi sakte
Tere bina kya wajood mera
Tujhse juda gar ho jaayenge
Toh khud se hi ho jaayenge judaa
Kyunki tum hi ho
Ab tum hi ho
Zindagi ab tum hi ho
Chain bhi, mera dard bhi
Meri aashiqui ab tum hi ho...❤️💫------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As soon as Dev heard her words, his heart started pounding intensely. He barely managed to keep his composure as he got into his car, but his face was flushed, and he could feel sweat trickling down his temple despite the chill in the air.
Abhay glanced at him, eyebrows raised. "Arre, kya hua bhai? Tera chehra itna lal kyun ho raha hai? Sab theek hai na?" he asked, genuinely concerned.
Dev stammered, trying to shrug it off. "Haan, haan... bilkul theek hoon. Woh bas... garmi lag rahi thi," he muttered.
Abhay frowned. "Garmi? Bhai, December chal raha hai. Tabiyat toh theek hai na teri?"
"Are haan, yaar, main bilkul theek hoon. Chal, tu gaadi chala le," Dev replied quickly, eager to change the subject. "Janvi ko drop kar diya hai na?"
The mention of Janvi's name made Abhay's heart skip a beat, though he tried to keep his face neutral. "Haan, haan, Megha se pehle usi ko drop kiya tha," he answered, looking away.
"Achha," Dev replied, sighing with relief. "Chal, ab tu gaadi chala."
The next day at the office, Megha went about her work quietly, seemingly unaware of the emotional storm her words had caused for Dev. She didn't remember much, but Dev... he couldn't stop thinking about her. Every time he looked at her, his heartbeat raced, and he struggled to focus on his tasks. Her "I LOVE YOU" echoed in his mind, an overwhelming reminder of the night before. He found himself searching for excuses to be near her—whether it was a quick question or an impromptu meeting, any reason to steal another glance.
Meanwhile, Abhay's thoughts were fixated on Janvi. He couldn't believe the effect she had on him, her laughter and her bright presence lingering in his mind long after they'd parted. He chuckled softly to himself. "Yaar, kya ho gaya hai mujhe? ,bas pagal ho raha hoon," he muttered, deciding he needed a break.
But just as he stepped outside for fresh air, he bumped right into her. For a brief moment, everything else seemed to disappear.
"Sir... are you okay?" Janvi asked, her brow furrowing in concern.
Abhay blinked, his heart pounding as he stammered, "Haan... haan, main theek hoon... bilkul."
Janvi smiled softly, her concern melting into amusement before she walked away, leaving Abhay staring after her, grinning like a fool.
Later that evening, as Megha booked a cab to head home, Dev noticed her being alone, and his heart leapt. Here was his chance.
"Chalo Megha, main tumhe drop kar deta hoon ghar," he offered casually.
"Nahi sir, main chali jaungi," she replied politely, trying to refuse.
But Dev wouldn't take no for an answer. "Arre, galti ho gayi, sorry bolana. , mujhe tumhara yeh behavior bilkul achha nahi lagta. Ab koi bahana nahi chalega—you're coming with me," he said, a gentle firmness in his tone.
Megha sighed, smiling slightly. "Okay, sir."
As Dev started the car, he hesitated, then spoke up. "Megha... kal mera birthday hai. Main ek chhoti si party rakh raha hoon. Bahut kam logon ko bulaya hai, lekin main chahta hoon tum zaroor aao," he said, glancing at her hopefully.
Megha's face brightened, and she nodded. "Zaroor aaungi, sir. Kal toh Sunday bhi hai ."
The next day, Megha arrived at Dev's house at precisely 7:30, holding a beautifully wrapped gift. She'd even convinced Janvi to come along, and the sight of them both made Dev and Abhay's faces light up.
"Happy Birthday, Dev Sir!" they all chorused as he cut the cake, and Dev couldn't help but smile widely at the love and joy filling the room.
"Sir, ye aapke liye. Maine apne haathon se banaya hai," Megha said shyly, handing him the gift.
Touched, Dev thanked her warmly, his gaze soft. "Thank you, Megha... this really means a lot."
Janvi, meanwhile, said "Megha, main chalti hoon. Mujhe ghar pe kuch kaam hai office ka kal Monday bhi hain"
But Megha shook her head. "Arre, abhi toh aayi ho! Thoda toh ruk jao."
Janvi laughed softly. "Nahi yaar, late ho jayega. Tum log enjoy karo."
Abhay, however, wouldn't hear of it. "Main drop kar deta hoon tumhe, Janvi."
"Thank you, sir, par..."
"Koi par vaar nahi. Chalo, gaadi mein baitho," he said, smiling reassuringly.
The two spent the drive in easy conversation, and by the time Abhay dropped her off, he couldn't stop smiling, feeling lighter and happier than he had in a long time.
Back at the party, Dev and Megha were dancing, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. But suddenly, Megha felt weak, clutching her stomach as a wave of nausea hit.
"Megha, are you okay? Tumhari tabiyat toh bahut kharab lag rahi hai. Agar tumhe bura lag raha tha, toh party mein kyun aayi?" Dev asked, genuinely worried.
"Sir... aapka birthday tha na," Megha whispered, her face pale.
Dev sighed, his expression softening. "Ek kaam karo, tum abhi ghar mat jao. Mere bed mein so jao, main sofa pe so jaunga."
Megha nodded gratefully, and went to lie down. As Dev started to settle in on the sofa, he noticed the gift she'd given him. Curious, he opened it—and his breath caught. Inside was a beautifully sketched portrait of him, rendered with care and precision.
He felt a lump in his throat as he stared at it, overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. Without even thinking, he found himself standing at the doorway, watching Megha sleep. A warmth blossomed in his chest, and he couldn't resist the urge to sit beside her. Eventually, he slept right there, his heart feeling fuller than it had in years.
