January 13 - January 15

Sunday came in a blur as I was casually lounging at my study table, writing this journal. The past three days flew by with a mix of lectures, library sessions, and coffee breaks with Zach. On Friday, we spent the entire day either attending classes or camping out at cafes, studying together. Zach even paid me a compliment, saying I was surprisingly impressive for a student who missed half the semester, yet still managed to score 82 out of 100 on a paper. I was pleased but didn't let it get to my head.

Then, my mind drifted back to Saturday. I attended a racing event, and to my surprise, my presence seemed to have attracted the attention of another boy. I honestly have no idea how with my current appearance, but he mustered the courage to ask me out. He even handed me his number, which I tossed away later without a second thought.

Not that he was unattractive from it. He had strong, angular facial features with a sharp jawline and high cheekbones. His nose was straight and well-defined, framed by dark brown hair styled in a tousled Korean perm. His gray eyes and naturally tan skin added to his appeal. He was dressed in a sleek leather jacket paired with a smart casual outfit, but I quickly shook my head, reminding myself that I had no time for another breakup. My focus had to be on my studies.

That's when I decided to call Isuki, asking him to fly over to the U.S. Since I was frequently going out, I figured I needed either a bodyguard or a boyfriend since Ivan couldn't always be around. Though the latter often leads to complications, a bodyguard is a safer bet.

January 16

I started my day with my usual morning routine and wore a Prada black cropped cardigan with white trim details. High-waisted, wide-leg black trousers and a black Prada headband. Prada Angular black sunglasses. Prada Hobo handbag, Prada black loafers with chunky heels.

While having breakfast, I noticed a message from Isuki saying he had already booked a ticket and would be arriving overnight. One thing I truly appreciate about the people around me is their reliability, cleverness, and their efficiency.

Knowing he'd arrive in the evening, I decided to spend my afternoon at the country club and chatted with Ivan's assistant about enrolling me in a golf club and exploring a few other sports.

By 6 p.m., I got ready to pick up Isuki from the airport. I dressed casually in a Nike hoodie, matching pants, and a pair of Nike Air Force shoes. I parked and waited, vibing to the song playing on my car's speakers. When I spotted Isuki, he was calling someone; seeing my phone light up, I knew he couldn't find me, so I answered his call, stepped out of the car wearing a mask, waved at him, and gave him a quick side hug when he approached me.

Isuki looked every bit the part of a bodyguard tall, muscular, with a stern expression. His hair was styled in a classic mullet that highlighted his sharp jawline and neck. While he's usually reserved, around our close circle (me, Aaron, Hyunwoo, Edward, and Xian), he opens up a bit more. After showing him where to place his luggage in the Lexus LC, I set the car's GPS to the house and chatted about my recent routines and schedules during the drive.

He had just returned from Osaka, Japan, where he was working at Hotel Elite, Osaka.

Once we arrived home, I introduced Isuki to the nanny and butler. I asked the butler to show him to his room so he could rest. As for me, I headed to my room, washed up, and changed before going downstairs to unwind.

January 16 - January 31

By the next morning, Isuki had seamlessly transitioned back into bodyguard mode. I didn't ask him to accompany me to the university, but I did instruct him to tag along whenever I ventured out elsewhere.

I received a brochure listing various clubs and sports activities available as extracurricular options. I reviewed the list and marked a few clubs I wanted to join:

- Pre-Med Society
- Harvard's Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA)
- Newspapers (decided to contribute articles occasionally)
1. The Harvard Crimson (entirely student-run daily newspaper)
2. The Harvard Lampoon (humor publication known for its satire)
- Harvard Undergraduate Council
- Institute of Politics (IOP)
- Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN)
- Ballet Club

The rest of January was a blur of university classes and study sessions with Zach. However, something unexpected happened: the Canadian guy, who had previously asked me out, somehow managed to find me at Harvard. He even started showing up at clubs I attended with Ivan and his friends. Eventually, I decided it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to go out with him, but I delayed giving him an answer until February. If he persisted, I'd agree to a date.

We also decided to skip the usual end-of-month date in January and instead planned to spend three days together in February.

February 01

My morning routine remained unchanged, and I dressed in a pastel pink A-line dress with straps with a white western shirt with 2 messy buttons up as a jacket. Light pink Versace platform heels. Pink Gabrielle tweed backpack and matched Dainty pearl earrings.

I ate my breakfast before heading to the library. The Canadian guy, still relentless, approached me yet again, asking me out. This time, I teased him, "Not even a bouquet of flowers?" He looked stunned but returned a few minutes later with a beautiful bouquet of red roses, which I accepted as my agreement to go on a date. His name, as it turns out, is Lucas.

We ended up going to a café to chat and get to know each other. I learned he's a mix of Russian and Canadian heritage, visiting Boston to see his uncle while enjoying time with his cousins. I kept details about myself vague, telling him my parents are Korean. He was initially skeptical until he saw my license. I told my name as Zara didn't mention other names, and mentioned I had two older brothers, with my parents abroad for work. Before we parted ways, we exchanged numbers, and he even snapped a selfie with me, to which I flashed a peace sign.

Realizing I had a lecture to attend, I made my excuses. Lucas, surprisingly considerate, said he understood I needed to focus on my studies and would handle planning our dates. I agreed, then hurried back to the university. After lectures, I stayed late, studying with Zach, before heading home. I gave the bouquet to the butler and went upstairs to finish my nightly routine before crashing into bed.

February 02 - February 05

Nothing out of the ordinary happened during these days, though I was swamped with catching up on my studies. I also had a few Zoom meetings with Xingyi and Aaron, who made business decisions on my behalf since I was busy. I finally managed to catch up on my coursework, which allowed me to attend additional lectures in Business Studies and Psychology-the same major and minor as Ivan.

Within just two days, I somehow gained a reputation on campus after attending four lectures with Ivan. Rumors began to spread like wildfire, painting me as a mediocre-looking girl trying to seduce Ivan to associate with the upper class. Honestly, it was amusing to see the drama unfold. I've only encountered such exaggerated gossip in TV dramas. Screenshots of me hugging Ivan, getting out of his car, and going to Hotel Elite were shared in various school groups.

Ivan, my brother, is already well-known across Harvard and even Boston, thanks to his association with Sean. He's also popular within the Ivy League circles for his good looks, academics, and aristocratic aura.

Do I care about the rumors? Not at all, darling. I've seen much worse. Besides, this misunderstanding adds a layer of excitement to the otherwise mundane university life. I initially thought Harvard would be filled with nothing but bookworms, but it's nice to see a bit of drama stirring things up.

Zach called, concerned about the rumors, but I assured him Ivan was my brother. Lucas also reached out, and I explained the situation to him before he could even ask, clarifying that Ivan is my second brother.
