"Should we do that? Can I do that? Baby. What's the problem, girl? Add me in."

Salomé's P.O.V.

Inside his car, a comfortable silence rested on the air as I took this moment to admire the interior design. The plush black seats complimented the sleek sides. Even the windows appeared crystal clear, without any marks. Using my peripheral vision, I attempted to admire the man next to me. I felt no attraction, but there was no doubt that he was handsome. The way he would exhale a small sigh whenever a car manoeuvred ahead of him, or the way he attention would flicker towards me when he thought I wasn't looking. Before I could stop myself from what I was about to do, I twisted in order to face him properly.

"I've probably said this a million times, but I wanted to thank you for today. I'm not like that normally; or at least I think I'm not; and, believe me, I won't behave so drastic again."

"Drastic, Miss Best?" He questioned, softly, keeping his gaze on the road.

"I mean, suddenly blacking out in the middle of the ground floor. I must've kept you from an important meeting or something big CEOs like you do."

At the red light, he turned his head to analyse my facial expression. Out of nowhere, he cracked a smile.

"Miss Best, let em reiterate that I am no longer angry not ashamed at you. Yes, I did miss an important meeting, but at that moment and as of right now, you are more of a priority."

He paused, as if he was collecting his thoughts as he swiftly turned to continue driving.

"I am?" I asked, meekly. How could I say I felt no attraction when I was practically melting under his words. Infatuation. That's it.

But that's what got me with Richard... I need to be cautious.

"As my newly appointed secretary, I cannot be having you unwell when there's so much work to be done."

"Oh," I replied, disheartened, unable to formulate a clever enough answer. "That makes sense."

Silence loomed in the car one again as I gazed outside the window, recognising the many small businesses I pass every day. They won't be facing the stress the CEO next to me must be feeling due to his job. And me.

"As your secretary, am I able to ask about what the meeting was about? Or is there some sort of patient confidentiality? Well, there wouldn't be, really, since you're not a doctor. Or do I have to wait until I officially sign the contract of my post? I was supposed to do that today but I was so stupid and-"

"Miss Best!"

I paused and turn to see Trevon watching me with humour but also confusion.

"Yes, sir?"

"First of all, we are no longer in working hours therefore there is no need for you to address me as 'sir'. Outside working hours, I am Trevon."

"But-"

"Second of all, I can't understand you! I appreciate the questions. You obviously have so many which is, of course, expected. But one at a time, please?"

His rhetoric made me give myself an internal face palm as I realised I had made myself a fool in front of my boss. His earlier comment intrigued me, nevertheless.

"If I can call you Trevon outside of the working hours, this must mean that you should call me Kelly, as well. Before you comment any further, this 'outside working hours' thing... Is it my hours or yours?"

"Well, Miss Best, as my secretary, you will be handling many of my business deals, therefore we technically share the same working hours, even if we aren't performing the same labour. When I am not around, you will be my representative, so at work, we are practically the same person. So to answer your latter question, when we have both finished work. To answer your former statement, with your permission, I will address you as Kelly."
