"I'll let you meet my friends. 'Cause you don't come with drama. So I want you 'til the world ends."
Salomé's P.O.V
Upon arriving at our door, the first thing that was seen was Rachel and Grace eating each other's faces. That was becoming a norm for me, however I didn't know the views of my companion beside me. I averted my gaze towards him to only see him looking back down at me, confusion evident in his stare. Giving him a sly smirk, I quietly approached the nearest chair before picking up a cushion and flinging it towards the direction of the two lovebirds.
Rachel's P.O.V.
"Get a room, you too!"
I pulled away from Grace as I heard my sister before an eruption of laughter filled the room. I looked Grace, who seemed just as confused and angry as I was. I span towards the direction of the door to see my sister bent over and tears of laughter falling down her cheeks.
"Salomé, you bitch-!"
From the corner of my eye, I could see a dark figure stood away from Salomé. Doing a double take, my eyes widened slightly as I realised the Trevon Baxter was standing in my apartment. As Salomé was composing herself, I raised my eyebrow towards Grace who was just as bemused as I was. Since Salomé thought she'd be a little comedian, I thought I'd play her at her own game.
"Are you going to introduce us, sister?" I asked, sweetly, gesturing to the 'stranger' who was also trying to stifle his own laughter.
She gave me puzzled look but quickly concealed it as she proceeded.
"Erm... Rachel and Grace, this is my new boss, Mr Trevon Baxter, CEO of Baxter's."
I glanced towards the man who gave us a brief nod before outstretching his hand for me, then Grace, to shake.
"Trevon, this is my younger sister, Rachel."
I gave my sister a humoured look as I realised they were already on first name terms.
"Pleased to make you acquaintance, Mr Baxter."
"Likewise, Miss Best."
As I was about to correct him, I remembered what Salomé told me about keeping her identity hidden for her security, so I smiled towards her and used my eyes to ask her what he was doing here. I watched Salomé clear her throat and shuffle her feet as she began to speak.
"Something happened today at work, and before you start getting worried, I am fine. I just blacked out for a bit and was advised to go home. Mr Baxter, here, offered to give me a lift and I accepted."
My smirk grew as I saw something between the two of them blossom.
"It wasn't ideal for me to take public transport especially in this cold."
My smile faded as that was probably the reason why she would accept. Still. There was no harm in speculating. I turned to face him.
"Thank you so much, it's like you're a hero." I joked, hoping to reveal the human in him, and not the stern CEO he exposes to everyone.
"It was my pleasure, Miss Best. Your sister is a vital part of the company, therefore her health is as much a priority as my own. A paramedic had to be called in order to provide her with the best service for her treatment, and what she needs right now is rest."
I glanced over to Salomé who was twiddling with her rings and refusing to maintain eye contact with me. What was she trying to tell me?
"S-so, I was thinking that maybe I won't go out with you and Grace tonight so I can recover fully. I really didn't plan this; I know how much you were looking forward to this night, and I-"
