In the quiet of the night, I hear your name,A whisper in the wind, a flicker of a flame.
Your absence, a shadow, lingers in my mind,
A lost lover, a memory I can't seem to find.
Uncertainty wraps around me like a shroud,
In the crowd, I search, but you're not found.
Every face, a reminder of what used to be,
A love once bright, now a distant memory.
I wait in the silence, hoping you'll appear,
But the days turn to months, and you're still not here.
Life moves on, but I'm caught in the past,
Chasing a ghost, a love that didn't last.
Realization dawns, like the morning light,
That waiting for others won't make things right.
To live my life, I must let you go,
Embrace the present, let the future flow.
Though the pain of missing you will never fade,
I'll find my path, in the choices that I've made.
For in the end, it's my life to live,
And to myself, I must learn to forgive.
