In those moments when we part ways,
My light is lost to shades of grey.
The pain that comes from deep inside,
Is banished when I’m by your side.
That dreadful darkness sets in again,
Time apart feels like endless rain.
I wish to feel your touch once more,
Your chilly fingers against my core.
The icy wind howls, a mournful sigh,
As shadows dance and spirits die.
A chilling emptiness fills the night,
In your absence, shadows consume the light.
I wonder what you see in me,
Each time your gaze meets mine.
I hope you see the love I feel,
For, to me, you are divine.
Now, clearer-eyed, I see the truth,
Your love for me, pure and smooth.
In your embrace, I find my place,
Cherished and loved, with boundless grace.
