3. 2. 1. The Experiment has begun.

Lilla POV
I was sitting on my bed, playing with the purple cord around my ankle, when i heard a loud blaring noise, like an alarm. I looked curiously at all the girls around me and they looked around too. We all looked equally confused. What was going on?

James (Omega, Facility wolf pack) POV
A while ago it seems, they herded the entire pack into this small, packed room. We had been waiting forever. Finally, an alarm blared somewhere and a door slid open in the wall. Looking at us were seven frightened looking faces of girls....but they were all different. Taking a quick glance i saw sparkles, wings, ears, tails...i looked around a little more and saw three vertical tanks with...mermaids inside! What was this? It seems all at once everyone came back into the moment. Alpha let out the battle howl and the pack sprung into action around me. With snarls and howls, they ran at the girls.

Lilla POV
The door leading to the outside had opened, and i had snuck out the second i saw the wolves. Somehow i knew i had to run. I went to the only place i knew, the flight training grounds. I was holding the purple cord around my ankle while i ran. My wings bounced awkwardly behind me, useless because i couldn't fly yet. I stood in the center of the grounds and crouched behind the thick iron chain that Eve and i would be tied to. Eve...that was NOT Eve, in there right now. Or at least, not my Evie. I heard a blood curdling scream from the dorm and i wrapped my wings around myself, fighting tears.
"I wish Evie were here..." I thought as i stayed in my wing cocoon, shutting out the world.

James (Omega, facility wolf pack) POV
Alpha Adam was the first to attack. He ran for a girl with blue skin, who reacted by shooting icicles at him. He howled in pain and she ran. They all ran, except for the mermaids, who were relatively safe in their tanks. The pack reacted as one and they howled and attacked. A girl who looked like a cat had time to scream before the Beta sunk his teeth into her throat. The wolves morphed. I stood in shock, as did a girl with wings who sparkled. She had a large stomach...was she with child? I continued to stare in shock, unsure of what to do. All around me, i heard screams and growls. What was i going to do?

Unknown POV
So far, the Experiment was going exactly as predicted. With the weaker girls picked off, now the fun would really start. The girls are sealed in a complex, with little places to hide. This was the true test of their powers...soon we will get the Final Result. I walked into the conference room, to inform the investors of the recent events. I opened the door and they all stood.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the grandmaster behind The Experiment, Dr. McKenzie Taylor." Said my assistant, Kitty Srofe. There was a smattering of light applause and everyone sat back down.
"Greetings, investors. As you know, the Experiment has begun recently. Stage one has gone almost as expected with the exception of Lilla, who snuck away before the Wolves were released. Now this shouldn't-" i was cut off by a loud explosion from part of the facility. It came from the direction of Containment.
"No..oh no...." I muttered to myself before, forgetting about the investors, i ran towards Containment, fearing what i would find.

Project 32.5 POV
It was time to act. I had all of my magic back. I was ready. I gathered my power into my palm until it was too much, too much. And then i let it go.
BOOOOOM!!!!!!
An explosion rattled the building and the door was blasted open. Shrugging off the now broken ropes and chains, i waltzed out of there, my dark hair gliding behind me. I was ready to take back my wings.

Dawn POV
All at once, i came back to myself. I didn't hate Eve. I didn't hate Lilla. What had come over me? I saw the wolves, and i knew i had to do something. I felt something come over me, and i don't know how to describe it. It was like....like diving into a pool of ice cold water that was also hot at the same time. I felt something start to gather in my hands and as it grew and grew i knew what would happen. And i accepted it. I raised my hands to the wolves, watching them attack fueld the power. And then I let it go. Power rushed from my outstretched hands and collided with the wolves. The world burst into brilliant white light, and i was momentarily blinded. The power kept coming and i could feel the strength leaving my body. I collapsed, and the light slowly faded from my eyes.

Eve 2 POV
I saw Dawn release her power and i had to shut my eyes at the bright light. The world went completely silent for a moment as a rush of energy filled the room. When the light finally faded, i opened my eyes. All around me i saw blood...so much blood. There were three bodies of girls, and many more dead wolves. I looked towards where Dawn had been standing. She was collapsed on the ground. I rushed over to her and tilted her face to me. All life was gone from her eyes. Dawn was dead.

Franco (Beta, Facility wolf pack) POV
I had left the building when they started attacking, following the scent of another who had escaped. I made it to a large clear area with what looked like a very heavy metal chain in it. I stuck my snout in the air and sniffed. Then i listened. Something was breathing behind that chain. I quietly snuck around to look behind it and saw a huddle of purple feathers. I bared my fangs and lunged. She screamed before my teeth sunk into her neck.

Eve 2 POV
I heard a scream from outside. A child's scream. Lilla's scream. I rushed out of the building and took to the air, searching. I decided to head to the flight training area, because that was the only place she would know the location of. I came to a hard landing in the middle of the concrete area, crouched with my wings flared out around me. I heard snarling over by the chain and i ran over there. I screamed. I saw a wolf biting into Lilla's delicate six year old neck. Without thinking i shoved my hand out. Sparkling light flew from my hand and into the wolf. He whined with pain before collapsing, dead. I ran to Lilla and held her head in my lap. Her breath was coming in short, painful gasps. She gave me a small smile.
"You...you might not...not be Evie but...but i still...i still love you...tell Evie that too...." She choked out, before coughing a lot of blood at the end. Tears fell freely down my face and i nodded.
"Don't worry Lilla, i'll tell her." I whispered to her. She smiled again. She took in a long. Rattling breath, and then she was gone.

A/N: *sniffle* i've decided there will be a next book. I've not decided on the title yet, but there will definitely be another book in this series, which also has no name. I'm taking recommendations for both! Also, the names of the doctor and her assistant...XD well, you know. Thank you so much for reading i love you guys!
