Dawn POV
Where. The heck. Is Eve. Poor Lilla is all...lethargic. Her wings droop and feathers are falling out. The instructors are worried about her. She doesn't even smile anymore. It was as if she was connected to Eve in some way and now that she's gone this happy, energetic little girl turned into this empty husk of a girl. I was sitting on my bunk, looking at her. She walked down the aisle in the middle to her bunk, sighed, and collapsed into it, tucking the dull purple wings around her. I sighed. I hadn't even seen her cry. I walked to her and put arm around her.
"Hey Lillalilla, i'm sure Eve will be fine." I said. She looked at me, sadness in her violet eyes.
"I know she is fine, but you aren't." She said softly.
"Lilla, what do you mean?" I asked, concerned.
"She told me you were going to die." She whispered sadly.

Eve POV
Paige led me to a wooden cabin, surrounded by trees that were covered in needles. I touched one and immediately pulled my hand back. These trees were sharp! As i rubbed my hand, Paige chuckled.
"Yeah, the pine trees aren't very friendly. And they can be kind of sticky." She told me. She opened the door and it swung on something out towards us. It didn't disappear into the wall? What kind of place was this....we went through the "door" into a room that was made of wood. What was with all the wood here? She gestured to some wooden (of course) chairs and we sat down. I gestured to the room at large, throwing my arms around me.
"What is with all of the wood in this place?" I asked. She chuckled.
"Um, trees? When the first of us got here, it was just woods. Sooo this place is made of trees. Trees are wood. Now i get to ask a question. What is it like, having...wings?" She asked. She looked longingly at my wings. I smiled and fluttered them a bit.
"It's...amazing. The feeling of freedom i get when i am soaring above the clouds, feeling the wind under them, in my hair. The wings beating to keep me in the air, moving faster than i could ever hope to run!" I said dreamily, thinking of my flight over here. My wings wrapped around me slightly, hugging me. Paige moved her own stunted wings ruefully, as if she were wishing they were bigger.
"Can i...can i touch them?" She asked nervously. I extended a wing out straight forward. She tentatively reached a hand forward and stroked the soft feathers. She preened my wings slightly, and i relished the feeling. It felt soo good the have my feathers straightened. I had a goofy smile on my face and Paige giggled.
"Would you like me to preen your wings?" She asked. I nodded eagerly. I turned around and she worked through my feathers, straightening them, removing loose feathers. When she finished, my wings were shiny, and they felt lighter than ever. I. Ruffled my wings in pleasure. I gave Paige a goofy grin.
"I wish you knew how good this felt Paige..." I said longingly. She grinned back.
"What should i do with all of these feathers?" She asked, holding up two small handfuls of silver feathers.
"I...um..i am not sure. What do you normally do with feathers?" I questioned. She shrugged.
"I normally keep mine and save them..." She said. I grinned.
"I think i'll keep mine." I said, taking them from her. She still kept one in her hand, a particularly shiny silver-blue feather. She stroked it silently, almost reverently. I placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You can keep it, if you want it..." I told her. Her face split into a big smile.
"Really? They are just so shiny! I love them." She rotated it in the sunlight, watching the rays bounce off of it.
"Sometimes...sometimes i wish my wings were fully grown, not stunted and useless. Sometimes i wish i knew what it was like to...fly." She said wonderingly. At this moment, i wondered what it would be like to have wings, but not be able to fly. Ever. In that moment i felt so bad for Paige. she was like a bird with their wings clipped. She would never taste the sky, feel the wind blowing through her feathers...or maybe, she could. I held out a hand.
"Paige, i need you to trust me." I said. She looked confused, but nodded and took my hand. I led her outside to the clearing. I grabbed her around the waist and with one, two, three beats i launched us into the air. Having carried that heavy metal chain when flying, she was really no big deal. I flew us higher and higher, until we were above the clouds. I got a secure hold on one of her arms and let go. She was flying beside me, linked only by our arms. She looked at me, pure joy on her face. We flew for what seemed like forever, until it got too cold and we had to land.
"Eve that was, that was just...i mean, it was...it was so..." She looked to the sky as if it could give her answers.
"Amazing. Eve, it was amazing. I cannot thank you enough!" She squealed and hugged me. I wheezed. She had crushed my lungs. The girl might not have wings, but she sure had some arm strength.

A/N: so yeah, not the best chapter. :^/. Sorry, but yeah, writers block. But if you stick with me through this, we will, um, survive! Yeah...so what do you think is up with Lilla? Is Dawn really in danger? Should i write in another male character so you all get that mushy romance stuff you enjoy so much? I will, if someone can think of his name and a good ship name. I stink at names. Dawn, Eve, Lilla, Sapphire...most of mine got inspiration from Disney characters. :D read and review! Please! Thanks!
