Authors note: today is tomorrow from a few days ago!! XD sorry guys. To make up for it there will be this short chapter and a suuuper long one that i will spend all night writing. Are we okay now? No hard feelings? This is mainly a chapter to get me back in the story. Enjoy!

Eve POV
"Ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for paying the small extra fee to see our most famous attraction...the freaks of a magical nature! We have a special treat too...we recently captured a new attraction, a winged girl by the name of Evelyn. Now, please, step inside."
I saw the tent flap be yanked open and about twelve people walked in. One was a child, about the same age as Lilla. She had a large colorful lollipop and she stared at me with wide eyes. She tugged on the arm of the woman next the her.
"Mommy mommy mommy mommy...look at THAT one!!" She said in a whiny voice. The woman just nodded. The little girl walked over to my cage and stared at me. She loudly licked her candy and shoved a small, sticky and through the cage bars at me. I recoiled from her touch. She looked angrily at me and screamed.
"MOOMMMYYY!!! I WANNA TOUCH HERR!!!" She screamed. The man with the hat walked over.
"Darlin, she's new. Come back another day an maybe she'll know better." He spoke calmly. The girls eyes watered and her lip trembled. In the next second a piercing cry broke the silence. It was an endless wail. I slammed my hands over my ears and wrapped myself in my wings, trying to block out the endless sound. It finally stopped with a loud smacking noise. There was a quiet whimpering though. I peeked out from behind my wings a little. The girl had a red mark on her face, and the woman was standing above her looking very angry. The man with the hat however, was watching me. I decided to ignore him and looked at the woman. She looked right back at me. I gave a small smile. She looked to the man with the hat.
"Are these freaks available for purchase?" She asked. The man grunted.
"Depends on what you're offering." He told her.

Paige POV
I lost track of how long Eve had been gone. It hadn't been very long, but i was so worried that every day seemed like a thousand years. Just...vanished. I sat on the roughly hewn wooden bench in the dining hall and hid my face in my hands.
"Ugghh..." I groaned. I felt someone sit next to me and a large hand on my shoulder. I looked up into the kind face of Gill looking down at me. I gave a weak smile.
"Hey Gill. How's it going?"
"I'm fine. How are you?" He asked in his watery voice. I put my head back in my hands.
"Not good. I'm worried sick about Eve. The normal world isn't kind to us...abnormals. They will treat her differently, like an outcast, a freak. And they will....they will experiment on her." I was fighting tears at imagining Eve, so ignorant of the world, out there on her own. Alone. Scared. Gill wrapped his arms around me and i started crying. For Eve.

Eve POV
Darkness. Pitch black. Silence. All i could feel was we were moving, and bumping along. I could hear the little cat girl breathing next to me in the darkness. I had no sense of time, but it seemed only a few minutes ago we had been pulled from the cages and knocked out, only to wake up in the darkness we were in now. Tiny kitten claws kneaded in and out of my stomach where the cat girls hand rested. Her breaths came in short, panting breaths. Deciding to risk it, i managed to wave my hand a little. Silver sparkles floated gently down from it, momentarily illuminating the space around us. It looked like a solid metal box. The sparkles faded and we were again in darkness. The cat girl curled close to me and sighed, before purring softly. Her breathing evened out and she was asleep. I sighed and put an arm around her, before i fell asleep too, wondering what was to become of us.

A/N: so yeah short chapter but i promise at least 1000 words of actual story in the next one, which i will spend all night writing. I still need ideas for the title of the second book btw people. GIVE ME YOUR IDEAS. I also need to know what i should call this series, so if you have an idea, any idea at all, PLEASE TELL ME. all shall be considered.
