you've been sad a lot lately.

i don't want you to be sad.

i don't like it when you're sad

so try not to be sad tomorrow.

i like to think that you're so much like me

your life is just like mine.

you remind me of myself.

when i see you, it makes me want to cry

because i see myself

staring straight back at me.

when i watch over you

trying to help you write

a perfect poem

the words are never present.

when i hear your trembling voice

so eerily familiar

it makes me want to cry with you

if i am not already crying.

but crying isn't good

crying scares me so much

you don't want to scare me, don't you?

because when i'm scared, you're scared

and when you're sad, i'm sad.

that's just how it goes.

so try not to be sad tomorrow.
