Edgar's POV

How do you think she's going to be?" Asher asked us. "Man, I have no fucking idea." I laughed. "Probably an old lady who'll be bossy and on our tails." I sighed already annoyed just thinking about it. "As she should, we're fucking messy." Miles replied making me huff. "We don't need anyone, we're fine like this." I said. "She'll be here to help us, stop obsessing over it." Asher scolded us. "It'll be a positive change." He continued. "Maybe you're right." Miles turned to Asher and he just smirked, not only because he is the parent of the band but because the little shit loves being told he's right. "Well, whatever. I don't want a babysitter." I barked. "Give her a break, Ed, you know Management will get a new one in no time if you scare this one off." Miles sighed. "Why do you keep implying I will scare her off? I'm not a fucking monster." I huffed annoyed. It's true that maybe I haven't been on my best behavior these past months, but I'm not a menace, I've never threatened the band's reputation, that's exactly why I don't think we need an assistant to keep up with rehearsals, we're getting by just peachy. "What if she's just like us?" Miles asked. "What if she's actually hot?" He smirked. "I'm calling dibs if that's the situation." He continued. "Fuck no, you're not getting into our assistant's pants." Asher slapped his arm making him whine. "You're no fun." Miles told Ash and I just laughed at his thoughts.

How could he think Management Will give us a girl 24/7 at our disposition if they are constantly on our tails about our fun escapades, but I guess one can dream.

"Gentlemen." Scott called for us from the door, making our heads turn. "What's up?" I greeted him. "I just want to introduce you to your new assistant." He opened up the door an inch more and let her through. "This is Grace Montez, she'll be helping you with anything you need." A short dark haired girl entered with a shy smile, skin a little bit pale but it looked soft, she was wearing high waisted jeans and a white sweater, with black converse. "Hey, guys, hope I'm not interrumpting anything, you can call me Gracie by the way." She flashed us a smile, she seemed genuine and very excited as she fidgeted with her hands.

"Welcome, Gracie, we were just talking about you." Asher got up from the couch and walked up to her to give her a quick side hug. "Thank you, Asher." She smiled back and I could see her blushing. "Yes, we were beting about the age of our assistant, we were pretty sure we were getting a mom." Miles joked and got up next to me. She giggled and got a Little bit closer to greet Miles too. "Hope I wasn't too disapointing." She teased back. "Not even a bit." I interrupted them and she turned to me with a warm smile extending her arm, which I believed was to not cross any boundaries but I used it to pull her slowly and embrace her just as the other guys, I could be wrong but I could almost swear I heard her drown a squeal, which made me believe she liked me.

"Well, as you can see she's not a mom or a boss, or babysitter. You can see her as a friend." Scott interrupted our Greetings and we all just nodded. "She'll be here everyday and her schedule Will depend on yours, she already knows the basics but feel free to let her know anything you think you might need." He explained and then nodded his head as a goodbye, closing the door and leaving us with her. She had already stepped away from my embrace and just stood there waiting for us to continue I supossed. "Well, welcome to the band." Ash grinned. "Oh God no, I'm not here to be a star." She laughed. "I'm here to help the stars." She joked and Ash chuckled. "What were you guys doing?" She asked us. "Do you need anything?" She waited patiently for us to say something.

"Not really, we were just chilling and complaining about your posible arrival." I honestly said. "Edgar, shut up." Miles pushed me. "No, it's fine." She awkwardly smiled. "I know it may seem like I'm stepping in but I swear I'm on your team, I am not a spy." She explained. Her speech sounded genuine, this rise of fame really made me paranoid about people and their intentions but I'll give her a try. "Stop giving her shit, I swear we're not like this... at least not all the time, we're just a Little bit tired." Ash smiled apologetically. "I understand, you just finished recording the new álbum and now you're rehearsing to start tour, it's pretty crazy if you ask me." She admitted. "Yeah, our bodies could use some rest." Miles sighed, letting himself fall on the couch next to me again. "And our minds too." I stated.

"Well, what about you telling me your favorite snacks to begin with." She suggested. "That way I can have your meals prepared for your lunch breaks." She took her phone out of her pocket and unlocked it. "Tell me anything you guys want to have at all times." She continued. She's nice. She has been here less than five minutes and she's shown more sincerity and concern than the people we've worked with for years.

"I think you should be in charge of our food, because if it was up to us we'd probably have pizza everyday." I commented and Asher agreed. "What's wrong with having pizza everyday?" Miles huffed and she tried to contain her laughter. "Don't worry, Miles, we'll have pizza at least once a week, I promise." She told him and he flipped me off. "Noted, anything else?" She asked as she typed something in her phone. "We're not really sure what to ask, we've never had an assistant." Ash explained and I had to agree. We could ask her for a thousand things that we don't really need. "We'll probably realize what we need from you when you're hanging out with us." Miles said. "Okay then, please feel free to ask me for anything." She retorted.

I could think about a few things.

"Why don't you tell us about yourself?" Asher asked her. "Oh well, I'm in the last year of high school, I'm still seventeen so I cannot do any of the fun stuff yet." She joked and I snorted. "I used to live in Nashville but I was born in Mexico so I can speak Spanish and also a little bit of italian." She continued talking. "I know Spanish too." I interrupted and she immediately grinned. "Where are you from?" She asked curious and I was taken back by her not knowing. "I'm from Australia, I was born there, just like the guys, but my dad is half Argentinian and he tried teaching me." I told her. "He's not very good at it tho" Miles teased me. "There are times when I wish I had listened to him, but I only practiced so I could get my first bass." I felt at ease sharing that. "We can continue those Spanish lessons now that you got your bass." She offered, and I might take her up on that one.
