"And she finally graced us with her presence," Alex joked, pulling me into a hug. "This is the first time you've invited me," I scoffed, hugging him back. My good friends, from the band, Sweet Whisper, invited me to their last stop of the tour, their show in L.A.

We've been friends for a while and while they were touring, I was called by their producer to work on some lyrics for the upcoming album. I like hanging out with them, they remind me a lot of the guys, Edge of Nowhere, their banter, endless teasing, style and brotherly type of love. I miss them. I miss my friends, but I cannot risk seeing Edgar right now, my heart wouldn't take it.

"What are you talking about? You're always ditching us!" Brad said, playfully tugging at my hair as I let go of Alex. "I don't want to get drunk with you guys; I'm a fan, not a groupie," I shot back, making him snort. "Oh, she's in trouble now," Tristan laughed, reaching for me. "Let's make her swallow her words," Connor said, pulling me into a sweaty group hug. "Oh God... let me go," I groaned as they refused to let me escape.

"What's going on with you morons?" A familiar voice made me freeze. "Alex, what did you do?" I asked quietly. He shrugged apologetically. "He asked me to," he said. The guys released me and made their way over to Edgar.

"Hey," I said shyly, unsure how to approach him. "Come here, tesoro," he smirked, reaching for my hand and pulling me close. "It's nice to see you," I said, hugging him back. "Why do you avoid me then?" He asked as he slowly released me from the hug. "I don't know what you mean," I shrugged.

"I'll let it slide if you come visit us next week," he said, raising an eyebrow. "Let's just survive tonight first," I giggled, trying to avoid his gaze. "Are you guys ready to get fucked up tonight?" Alex yelled from across the room, making us both burst into laughter. "I'll look after you; you'll make it in one piece," Edgar winked, grabbing my hand and guiding me to the balcony where we'd watch the concert. "This is actually better than I imagined," I admitted. "I thought I'd be watching alone, and that kind of sucked."

"How did you even know I'd be here?" I asked sincerely. "I have my ways," he shrugged. "So, stalking it is," I joked, making him laugh. "I heard Tristan talking with Asher about wanting to have a couple of writing sessions with you. Then I called Alex, and he mentioned they had a gig. I asked if you were still working with them, and I guess I just crashed," he explained sincerely.

"I'm sorry I haven't called you... I just... I don't like saying goodbye," I admitted, looking down. "I know," he said with a sweet smile. The lights went down, and the concert started. I couldn't help but smile as I listened to my favorite songs live. Eddie yelled the lyrics next to me; despite the crowd, it felt like an intimate moment, that's the power of music. Sweet Whisper was once Edge of Nowhere's favorite band, Edge of Nowhere was and still is my favorite band, even after a year it still felt surreal.

"I think I need something to drink," I said breathlessly, catching my breath from singing along. "Gotcha," he said, disappearing briefly before returning with two fresh water bottles.

"And for a moment, I thought you were going to try and get me drunk," I joked before chugging the water. "Breaks my heart that you think so little of me," he scoffed. "I want to be fully sober for whatever's going to happen," he said, slowly grabbing me by the waist. I let my body naturally follow his.

"Are you having fun tonight?" Alex yelled into the mic.

"I definitely am," I giggled, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Alright, this next song goes out to a couple of dear friends in the crowd tonight," Alex continued, causing me to freeze. "Please tell me he's joking," I groaned, making Edgar laugh.
