Evie woke up early the next morning. Her eyes widened when she stood up and saw the stain. She didn't know what to do but she knew that she needed to find a way to clean it before anyone saw.
Taylor popped in to check that Evie was up and quickly noticed. "Hey, don't worry about that. You get ready for school hun. I can sort this out. I had the same issue last night too since I stopped my birth control and wasn't expecting a period yet so i'll just wash it with my stuff," Taylor told her.
Evie slowly nodded, still feeling embarrassed before quickly going to change and get ready for school. Taylor quickly stripped Evie's bed and put it in the pile with her own bedding that Travis had stripped that morning. Then got a handful of tampons and handed them to Evie. "Put those in your bag. I'll also send you with some painkillers and some heating pads. Please drink lots of water." She instructed at the breakfast table.
"I will thank you," Evie replied, putting the tampons in her bag and grabbing some water. Taylor took her to school the same as always before stopping at the park on the way home for Mal to play. Unfortunately she had to cut Mal's playtime short when she felt pain in her Snuggies and immediately knew that they were leaking due to harper not being there. "Um Mal we gotta go hun." Taylor told her.
Mal looked down wanting to play more but also didn't want to get in trouble for arguing. Taylor quickly rushed home to sort herself out before promising to take Mal back to play if she ate all of her lunch. She then gave Mal some lunch and sat with her while she ate, not wanting any lunch for herself.
Mal ate her food before looking over at Taylor. "When Hawpew come back?" Mal asked, looking over. Taylor looked down at her phone, hoping she would have had a message that harper wanted to come back but seeing nothing and shrugged. "I don't know honey. I miss her too." She whispered, holding back her own sadness knowing that harper had asked for time away and needed it.
Mal slowly nodded looking down again. She wanted to play with her. "Let's go to the park again." Taylor told her, getting her ready to go out and getting herself ready.
"Yay pawk," Mal squealed out excitedly, starting to get distracted. Taylor nodded and took Mal
To the park for a while.
Mal giggled running off to go play. She wished that Harper was here so she could play with her, but she couldn't resist having fun at the park.
The same routine continued for a few days until Taylor eventually had to get back into the studio. "Okay Mal, you're going to stay at my moms house today for the day while I'm at work." Taylor told her, picking her up and putting her in the car. She was feeling exhausted from not sleeping due to Harper not being around and she was upset about it too.
Mal slowly nodded. She didn't know if she liked that idea but she could sense that things were tense. Travis came out and kissed Taylor goodbye and told her to have a good day but she just shrugged it off and got into the car, driving to her moms house where she got out and knocked on the door with Mal and her little backpack.
Andrea opened the door and greeted them both, inviting them inside. "You must be Mal! I've heard so much about you." She told Mal, kneeling down in front of her.
Mal looked over, staying close to Taylor but she waved a little bit. Taylor handed her over to Andrea before noticing harper peeping around a corner and giving her a little wave. Her eyes immediately filled with tears as she waved back. "Oh, My baby. Come to mama. Come give me a cuddle." She whispered.
Harper toddled over and gently wrapped her arms around Taylor, burying her face into Taylor's chest. "I bought you some Snuggie milk, grandma said that she ran out. No need to rush, honey, you come home when you're ready but mama and daddy miss you so much." She told Harper who nodded and pulled away.
