The Happy One (Ashton Irwin)

Micheal's House

 It was 11:30 when Ashton finally decided to get ready for Michael's house. Shuffling across the floor in his room Ashton realized he woke up later than he planned and had to be at his friend's house in a half an hour. " Ah shit I gotta go" Ashton mumbled as he stumbled knocking over things in his room while getting dressed. "Guess I can eat at his house later" he said to himself while leaving his house. The cold wind just like yesterday gave him the chills as soon as he got outside. Thankfully Michael's house was only ten minutes away and Ashton knew he could handle the cold that long.

 Michael was surprisingly in the front yard  with some guys Ashton never even met before playing soccer. "Hey Ash wanna play or do you want to go inside?" Michael asked sounding out of breath and red faced. Ashton thought it was crazy that they were playing soccer outside in the cold ,so he decided to go in instead. All of the boys introduced themselves. " Hey I'm Jack" a tall blonde boy said with a tough look on his face. "Sup dude I'm Thomas" the other boy said that looked similar to Jack. Ashton and the guys were playing FIFA together when all of sudden an  argument started between Ashton and Jack. " Bro you suck are you even trying ?" Jack asked . " Yeah sorry it's just I don't really like this game." All three boys looked at Ashton shocked by what he said when Jack spoke up again, but more in a upset way. "Are you an idiot this game is the best Mike this dude's a freak where did you find him?" Then Michael finally stood up not being able to take this ridicule he was hearing about Ashton. "Jack, Thomas you need to leave he's not a freak and he's a great guy so back off of him , just because he doesn't like FIFA doesn't mean you can be a jerk." The two boys were both so upset that they both left mad and annoyed how Michael could leave  them for Ashton. 

 " Thanks Michael that was really nice of you but Jack was right I am a freak, maybe I should just leave." Ashton said upset about the drama that just occurred. " No Ashton you don't have to leave those guys are asses anyways I just hang out with them because they're the only teens in the neighborhood." Michael said reassuring his new friend that he could tell was feeling very uncomfortable. 

  After a moment Ashton decided to stay for dinner with Michael and ate some pizza and watched a horror movie instead. Although on the outside he seemed fine and over the drama that happened earlier,  Ashton actually felt horrible and insecure. Were the guys right am I a freak? If only I could be like them and not such a weirdo why didn't I lie to them and just agree that I sucked at FIFA. Yeah it would be a lie, but if I did then they wouldn't hate me or Michael. Oh no what did I do Michael's friends are mad at him and it's all my fault, maybe I should just tell him I have to leave. I can't be here anymore especially next to Michael I caused him enough trouble tonight I should go home.

 " Hey Michael I have to go mum's put me on a curfew and I have to go soon." Ashton lied. "Really dude? Okay let me clean up and I'll walk you out alright? Michael replied not knowing that Ashton was still upset.  A few moments later Ashton put his coat on and headed out back into the now familiar cold.
