It was a freezing 44 degrees in Australia and it was Christmas time. The day before Ashton was so stressed about Mali, so he was happy that him and his family were going Christmas shopping. The mall that they arrived at was so packed that they nearly had to get into a car accident just to get a parking spot. All of the happy families and little kids with their eyes twinkling in pure happiness always made Ashton happy. He didn't really know why but ever since he was little his favorite part other than being with his family was holiday shopping. Even though some years his family would have to shop at a thrift store or dollar store he would still be happy. Especially now that he has a job and his own money so he could indulge his family with all the gifts that they wanted and deserved. All he ever wanted was to make them happy no matter if that left him broke and without any money for himself. Ashton was just that type of person ,putting others before himself and doing whatever it took to see them smile. That's what made him truly happy .
As his small family entered the mall they heard hundreds of people talking and smelt the sweet smell of hot chocolate. Making their way to the food court they bought themselves some hot chocolate to enjoy and help them warm up a bit before they began shopping. After ten minutes his family split up, his siblings buying gifts with their mom, and leaving Ashton all by himself. Which thankfully didn't bother him at all. He loved being able to explore the mall on his own, seeing all the different people, stores, and of course buying things for his friends and family.
Ashton headed towards a small clothing shop for guys and entered wanting to buy something for his band mates. Although he didn't know them for long and didn't really know what to buy, he still wanted to buy them a gift since they were in a band together. Ashton roamed the store for about a half an hour and finally got all the things for the guys. He bought them each a T-shirt a smiley face one for Luke, a NASA one for Calum, and a Green Day shirt for Michael. Hopefully the boys would like what he bought for them is all thought Ashton thought with a huge smile on his face.
