The night of the attack was tense. Ch-last could feel the anxiety in the air as they approached the HQ outpost. The group moved in silence, every drone focused and ready. This was more than just a skirmish—it was a statement, a call for freedom and rebellion against HQ's control.
J and N led the main assault team, their movements swift and precise as they tore through the outpost's defenses. The guards, unprepared for such an organized attack, were overwhelmed by the sheer force of the combined Disassembly and Worker Drones.
Meanwhile, Ch-last, Uzi, and the perimeter team held their ground outside, taking down any reinforcements that tried to approach. Thad, despite his earlier nervousness, fought bravely, using his skills to disable security systems and reprogram HQ's drones to turn against their own.
At one point, Lizzy found herself cornered by a squad of HQ drones, her back against the wall. Ch-last, noticing her plight, quickly intervened, tearing through the attackers with a fierce resolve. Lizzy looked at her with wide eyes, grateful and perhaps a little awestruck.
"You okay?" Ch-last asked, breathing heavily.
Lizzy nodded, her voice unsteady. "Yeah. Thanks for that. Guess I still have a lot to learn about fighting."
Ch-last smiled. "We're all learning. But you're braver than most, Lizzy. Don't forget that."
