Heihachi stared at Kazuya's roughly unpacked luggage on the ground, the content's haphazardly thrown about and just looking like a sorry mess.
"Wow, you really are a teenager on the inside," Heihachi remarked with a smirk.
Kazuya clicked his tongue and kicked some of his clothes over to the heap that was supposed to be his luggage. He crossed his arms and stared him down. "You gonna lecture me now?"
Heihachi shrugged and sat down on the bed. "I don't have any reason to. But maybe you should pack a bit, seeing how we're leaving tomorrow?"
Kazuya grumbled something under his breath.
"Why did you call me here anyway?" Heihachi asked, seeing how he didn't seem interested in telling him anything after calling him over.
"Just need to talk to you about something," Kazuya stood in front of him, his arms still crossed.
"About what?"
Kazuya shrugged, much to his dismay. "I dunno. You go to La Poisson, right?"
"Not regularly, just once or twice," Heihachi said. "Why are you asking?"
"You noticed the nosy bartender?"
Heihachi frowned at the reminder of Ichiya and nodded slowly. "Yes, I did. He got overly excited when I told him my son shared a similar name as him."
Kazuya tried not to flinch at that. "You told him that?"
"What can I say?" Heihachi shrugged. "I'm proud of my son."
"Alright," Kazuya cracked a slight smile. "So, my conversation with him must've left him pretty confused, then."
"What do you mean?" Heihachi leaned forward.
Kazuya smirked and seated himself beside Heihachi. "He actually recognised my... well, my looks, and asked me if I was related to you." He sighed. "Or at least, 'another gentleman who looks like me in the face,' and 'have the same sort of build and thick eyebrows'."
Heihachi couldn't help but grin at that. "Well? Strong genes. Even made its way into Jin."
That made Kazuya frown slightly, but he couldn't actually argue with that. It was true. He decided to continue anyway since he hadn't come to the most important part of the plan.
"Yeah, but the best part is..." Kazuya laughed. "I pretended that he was referring to Jin and told him that the guy he mentioned was my son."
Heihachi felt strange at that information, but saw how it made sense. Kazuya was indeed physically much older than him in comparison.
"And I told him what my name was since I saw his name tag and got a little excited," Kazuya continued. "I figured that you must've spoken to him a little since he actually took a close enough look at you to see the same stuff in me." He snorted. "Though he did think you looked older than me."
Heihachi shrugged. "It's still true."
Kazuya smirked. "But now you're telling me that you told him that I was your son."
"He imagined a little boy with that name, don't worry," Heihachi added.
Kazuya smirked, shaking his head. "No, I'm not worrying. This is great. Wait, let me go get Jin. I'm having a plan."
Heihachi looked at Kazuya in surprise as he practically skipped out of the room. It was a little strange, but that also indicated that Kazuya was more comfortable with him now. And that fact made him smile a little.
Jin was soon pulled into the room, looking confused with his phone freely streaming a video from social media. The younger man was probably in the midst of scrolling through social media feed when his father just yanked him off the couch.
He stopped short when he spotted Heihachi sitting on the bed and turned to Kazuya. "What's this actually about?"
Not to mention that it was strange to see Heihachi sitting on the bed in Kazuya's room.
"Something fun," Kazuya grinned, motioning for him sit down before pulling the vanity chair for himself. He sat down and looked at Jin. "You're not gonna sit?"
Jin looked at the bed, then at Heihachi, then shrugged and sat down. "What's this actually about?" He asked again.
"Remember when you went to La Poisson?" Heihachi asked.
"Yeah, and you showed up?" Jin jabbed him straight away with that comment. "What about it?"
Heihachi sighed. "Your father has a master plan involving the nosy bartender."
Jin turned to his father, frowning slightly since he could tell that the plan was a silly one. "What are you planning?"
Kazuya smirked and Heihachi both explained their encounters with Ichiya, making Jin laugh when the latter mentioned that the bartender thought Kazuya was a small child.
"And now for the plan," Kazuya smirked, almost sinisterly. "So, here's the thing. How about the three of us go back and confuse him? Tomorrow night?"
Jin and Heihachi exchanged glances.
"Don't look at me, I'm fine with this," Heihachi shrugged before turning back to Kazuya. "I'm in. I like the idea of messing with him."
"As if you guys haven't already done that," Jin smirked. "But I guess I'm in too. Want me to ask the others if they wanna have dinner there?"
Kazuya shrugged. "I'm sure they will agree since no one wants to cook after just returning from a holiday. But ask if you want."
Jin nodded and got up. "I will." He nodded to Heihachi, shook his head at his father with a smirk, and left the room.
Heihachi got up too. "Well, I guess I'll be in the living room, then."
Kazuya followed him out as well.Steve sighed as he watched Hwoarang carry out his eight-step skincare routine, having long done with his one-step skincare of night cream.
"Your skincare regime is impeccable," Steve couldn't help but say. "And all I use is night cream."
"Good for you," Hwoarang said, putting on his second toner with his hair tied back in a half-up do. "Can you pass my lotion? It's on the table."
Steve rolled his eyes and placed his night cream down before grabbing the bottle of some South Korean brand of lotion. He tossed it to the redhead, then sat down on his bed.
Hwoarang didn't even thank him as he moved on to his serum.
"It's our last night in Chigasaki," Steve sighed. "And I gave to get to work in a few days."
"Don't act like I don't have some work cut out for me too," Hwoarang grumbled.
Steve frowned at him. "Don't act like I didn't take you to the spa to compensate for said work." He countered.
Hwoarang puffed his cheeks and pouted.
Steve just shook his head and got under the covers to go to bed. "Turn the lights out after you're done pampering yourself."
Hwoarang merely grunted in reply and went on with his aloe gel.Jun say on her bed and mulled over the recent events. She was actually surprised that the plan managed to pull off well by itself even when she had doubts about it. Why was she even surprised? Wasn't this how she wanted her plan to go?
And now it was their last night in Chigasaki. The long-anticipated holiday was so quickly ending the next morning. What would happen after they get back? Would their peaceful relationship with Heihachi continue? She had spotted Kazuya making a rather sinister plan with him and Jin earlier, and not long after they asked if they can all have dinner at La Poisson tomorrow. Jun was only too happy to agree since they had good food there.
And there was a reason for meaningless drinking.
Jun turned to look at the bathroom when she heard the sound of it flushing, followed by a muffled thud before the door burst open. Kazuya shoved a bottle of complimentary soap onto the counter and shook his head as he stepped out.
"Stuff keeps falling," Kazuya complained before plopping down beside her. "Be sure to pack the toiletries they give. May come in handy in the future."
Jun nodded. "But of course. I'll pack them first thing in the morning."
No one had any use for those complimentary little packs and bottles, seeing how as the ones from previous trips were lying heaped in a forgotten drawer back at home.
Kazuya sighed, gaining her attention once again. "And it's checkout time tomorrow." He said. "And then it's back to work."
"Come on, at least we're going back home," Jun placed a hand on his thigh. "Back to good WiFi, home-cooked meals, our own bed."
"Ah, I miss that bed," Kazuya couldn't help but agree. "Yeah, I guess there's all of that, but there's also work stress." He groaned, but he smiled when he turned back to Jun. "But at least I can look forward to having lunches with you in my office every day."
Jun smiled as she leaned against him. "Yeah, I look forward to that too, every day."
They decided to turn in for the night, though it was mostly sleepless due to the thought of leaving Chigasaki. Only an hour prior did they consider getting a holiday home somewhere nearby, or maybe in Rikubetsu, or literally anywhere outside of Tokyo. It seemed like a really good idea too.
