We would love to get to know you better. Could you share more about yourself?

Hello everyone. First, I would like to thank you for inviting me to the After Dark Interview. It is a pleasure to have this opportunity to share. As for me, I am a wife and mother to an 18-year-old daughter who is currently in college, as well as a proud owner of two fur babies and a bearded dragon.

What prompted you to pick up the pen and start writing?

Ah, I believe this may resonate with many authors: the pandemic. I began reading on Wattpad and noticed a trend where the male lead was often saved by his well-put-together female counterpart. I thought to myself, there are women in the world who are NOT perfectly composed. So, I picked up my laptop and began typing away. Thanks to the pandemic, I found myself with the time to do so.

What inspires you as an author?

I would have to say that music inspires me the most. While writing, I listen to music to help get my creative juices flowing.

What inspired you to write your first steamy scene? Could you elaborate on that experience? Was it a gradual buildup to a not-so-innocent kiss, or did your characters jump right into the action?

I'm not entirely sure what specifically inspired my first steamy scene. However, I did know that I wanted it to be long and detailed. I noticed that most steamy scenes were brief, and just as I was getting into them, they would end. I wanted to create a scene that my readers could truly visualize. When I wrote my first steamy scene, the words flowed effortlessly from my fingertips onto the screen 😳. It was definitely a slow buildup for my characters, but not for their imaginations. 😉

Did writing "after dark" material come to you naturally, or was it a skill you practiced until you perfected it?

The creation of After Dark material came to me quite naturally. I believe I possess a naturally curious side. By the time I began writing, I had accumulated enough knowledge and exposure to craft the scenes I wanted my readers to experience.

Do you encounter any challenges while writing, particularly with spicy or mature topics? How do you overcome them?

At the moment, my primary challenge is managing my health and time. Balancing a full-time job, being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, while also taking care of my health, consumes a lot of my time. However, when I get into the zone, I can write three chapters in one sitting.

We wish you better health and more time to write! What is one thing about writing that no one told you, or what piece of advice would you like to share with other writers, especially regarding After Dark material?

PROMOTING! No one informed me that continuously promoting is just as challenging as writing itself. Promotions are a significant part of the writing process. It involves making edits, selecting the right images, curating music, and ensuring the timing is just right to keep everyone engaged. It's a task in its own right. Additionally, you must be cautious with the spicy images you post, as they can lead to your account being flagged and removed.

What's the most scandalous thing you've ever written? (This could be material that has been posted or deleted.)

So far, the most scandalous scene I've written is in my first book, Dreadful Desire, where the main characters engage in a five-way sexual experience in a BDSM club. It spans two chapters and is about 10,000 words long.

Do you have a favorite novel among the titles you've written, and why is it your chosen one?

My favorite title has to be Dreadful Desire, as it is my book baby. This incredible journey began with Chloe and Axle and has now evolved into a five-book series, along with five spin-off books.
