[Sarah, After Dark] So, before we start. Is it okay to call you Aubrey? And you can call me Sarah too.. ^^

[Aubrey, Featured Author] Yes you can, Sarah :D I'm so excited.

[Sarah, After Dark] Awesome ^^ So, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? And who are you on your days off of wattpad?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] I'm a huge dreamer. I love curling up with a cup of green tea or earl grey tea in my bed reading. I have a pet cat called Smokey and a golden retriever called Honey.

Recently, my life has turned into a bit of a wattpad novel where I fell for this guy who's nothing short of brilliant and talented and he —oh my gosh— likes me back!

[Sarah, After Dark] I love cat <3

Whoa.. I'm happy to hear that.. Anyway.. I'm curious.. What's inspired you to write How to Sleep Together? Or are you just write it done once the idea came to your mind?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] Cats are the most adorable things! Mine does the cutest things with Honey!

How to Sleep Together started out with a search for a good book on a Friends With Benefit relationship. I didn't find any I like –if anyone here know good one, please let me know!

Since I couldn't find one, I started writing my own based on two characters that I felt weren't developed but, promising in my other book, The Art of Seduction. In my mind, I already knew Daisy's story. So, it was a matter of pinning it to paper.

[Sarah, After Dark] Whoa.. So that's why.. It's a good reason to start one.. Many authors did that too.. When we don't find what we're really looking for, why don't just start one, right? ^^

By the way, for the second question.. We want to know, what's your background in writing? Where did it begin? And how you got into writing?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] I started out as a reader, always curled up in a corner reading some book or the other. I was the friend that people went to when they were looking for a good book. I picked up writing short stories on figment when I was twelve and found Wattpad last year. I started out as a reader and then wrote The Art of Seduction, my first full length novel. In school, you'll be surprised but, I wrote under a gossip-girl styled part of the magazine under a cover name. It was pretty fun, and the writings were innocent enough. Only one teacher knew who's writing it, but most of my friends in school don't know I write. It's kind of secret hobby.

[Sarah, After Dark] It sounds fun.. I know one of my wattpad friends is also the same.. I mean, she also say that writing is her secret hobby.. No one in her life knows that she's actually an author on wattpad.. From this, I can tell that you read a lot of books on wattpad.. can you share what's the very first book you ever read on wattpad? And who is your favorite author here?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] Cherry Knots by @hepburnettes, I think. I've a lot of favorite authors but, the first few that come into mind is @hepburnettes. @Leigh_ , @afire, @kiaralondon, @unsinkableships, @joecool123, @hyrule and @floats.

[Sarah, After Dark] You have the same taste as mine.. ^^ I love Cherry Knots too.. Noelle is such an inspiration.. Now, I'm in fangirling mode.. Haha xD Okay, back to the topic.. I got carried away.. Sorry xD Anyway I'm dying to ask a question that I'm sure many people have wondered when they read your How to Sleep Together, where do you get the ideas from? Wait, it's not the same question I ask you what inspired you, is it? Please tell me it's not the same question.. Haha xD

[Aubrey, Featured Author] Don't worry, it's not the same question. I'm inspired by my life around me. For the Mr. Darcy's subplot came when I had to help a teacher grade papers and he kept disappearing, I thought it would be interesting if he was out with a girlfriend. As for Wilde and Daisy, I was inspired by my friend and her ex boyfriend who refused to go public because he was afraid it would hurt his chance in making to the debate team.

[Sarah, After Dark] Oops! Poor your friend. I hope she now founds a guy who is brave enough to make the relationship go public. Amen! ^^ So, your answer has given me a curiosity. Is there any (or not) of your characters in How to Sleep Together that resemble you the most? Or which character is the most 'like' you?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] As of date, I haven't written a character that resembles me. I might one day since I've been dating a real life wattpad hottie. ;-)

In How to Sleep Together the character that doesn't resemble me at all is Daisy. We're both from completely different backgrounds which made writing in her perspective a tad bit tricky. Wilde and I both had Christian upbringing but while Wilde is devout, I'm not.

[Sarah, After Dark] What a good news.. Hope everything is doing alright with your relationship.. ^^ Talking about relationship got me guessed that maybe there are any parts or scenes in How to Sleep Together that you feel particularly close to what you have once or still you have till now? If yes, would you mind to share those scenes with us what are those?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] I wrote the book for Sam, a devout christian whom I dated and as a way of closure. A lot of Wilde comes from him, like the well-off upbringing to the parents that are never there. Personality wise both of them care about what people think of them, their image, looking cool and adored but actually having loads of insecurities and questions but also being someone you can love but not someone you can stay together with because of their 'image' that will constantly get in the way.

[Sarah, After Dark] Anyway, for the last question.. According to you, what make a book such a good book and worth the time we spend?

[Aubrey, Featured Author] I find a good book comes from good well rounded characters and also a fun plot where the characters grow from the events. I'm more characters driven than plot driven. So, for me, having characters you fall in love with or loathe is the key to a good book.

[Sarah, After Dark] I couldn't disagree with this.. ^^ And that's wrap.. It feels like yesterday I first contacted you.. Sadly, I'll have to call it end.. ><

We are grateful for your cooperation and thank you so much for your time answering all those questions above.. Take care.. ^^
