Chapter 13

As we rode, I reached out to Ragoth, "Ragoth could you gather vines together for me? Enough to craft an egg basket."

"I will My Lady, I'll start pulling now. I feel you are close. When you get here, I can assess the egg size and collect the exact number of vines needed."

"Thank you for that." I couldn't help but be thankful for her. I started thinking if I knew anybody was psychic. As I thought about it, I realized I honestly didn't know anyone like that. I just have to keep an eye out for someone who is psychic. Additionally, I must reach out to Blue and inquire if she can enlist someone experienced in finding lost items. They can assemble a team to search for lost or hibernating eggs.

While we were riding, I could tell Audrey was having a hard time controlling herself just by her trying her hardest on not to move. Every so often, her movements made it seem like she could burst out of the saddle. I placed my hand on her hip to help her out, just in case. Looking over at Billy, I could tell he was mumbling to himself. 'It's clear that Audrey getting a dragon egg definitely annoys him. He is not happy about the whole situation.'

We arrived back at camp just in time for us to settle down for the day and cook dinner. Thomas was skinning what looked like an eight-point deer. 'Looks like Kimberly killed a good one that should last us two weeks.'

While Kimberly was gathering eatable plants to add to the stew that was hanging over the fire. I detected from the air it was rabbit stew again and it smelled a little different from what I liked. That meant it was Kimberly cooking it tonight. I watched as Mark, Scott, and David each were tossing a ball of their power between their hands while waiting for the food to cook.

"Hey guys, we are back." I hollered out before I thought 'Oops!' Mark's ball of air blew back into his face, blowing his cleaned, cut hair straight up. Scott's ball of fire exploded, making him fall on his butt. David's ball of lightning popped like a firecracker, scaring the horses, and making them jump and look around for trouble. I couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry guys, I didn't mean to make you lose concentration."

Scott made a small ball of fire and threw it my way. It made it halfway to me and Audrey before it fizzled out. A smile formed on my face before I said, "Not bad for a beginner, bro. With a little more work, you will be able to make it to me at this distance." I was proud of him. He has come a long way in just a few days of us being here.

Clearing her throat, Kimberly asked, "Is that what I think it is?"

"It is." We stopped at the edge of the camp. Billy had already gotten off of Temper and had walked over to me, reaching for Audrey. She held on tight to the egg. "We found it right near the river, just like she said. And I even saw what had happened before it went into hibernation. It is just like Audrey said."

"You mean she has the power of..." She paused in disbelief, "a psychic!"

"Yeah, she is," I confirmed her thought. I watched as Kimberly's face went into thinking mode. She walked away from us and returned to cooking the stew, but I could tell that her mind was in overdrive. I wasn't sure what she was thinking, but I knew I would find out once she finished getting her thoughts together.

"I am glad you made it back safely," David said, kissing me on the cheek.

"Me too, baby." I hugged him back.

We heard Billy grumble. "Hey, do you think you and Mark can talk with Billy for a bit while I talk with Audrey and Ragoth?"

"Yeah, we can," David agreed. "Hey Billy, come with me so Mark can show you how to make a ball of air."
