Feeling the warmth of the first rays of the morning sunlight, a light breeze was blowing around me and moving my hair enough that I felt it. The next thing I felt the presence of a dragon nearby. That threw me off for a moment, 'Okay I shouldn't feel a dragon, at least not this strong.' I stretch my arms from being stiff from sleeping on the ground. Opening my eyes, I see the clearest blue sky with a hint of pink from the morning sun rays lighting it up. I sitting up as memories from yesterday come to mind, reminding me of what happened and what's going on. 'Ugh! I thought that was just a dream. I guess not now.' I look in the direction that I feel the dragon presence and see Ragoth. I can't help but smile. All my life I have dreamt of waking up and seeing a dragon and now I get to here on this world. I look around and see everyone else is still asleep. 'I guess from now on I'll be waking up with the sun every morning. Fun.' I couldn't help but be exhausted from that thought. I hate mornings normally but for some reason, I am now wide awake. I look over at the rock posted at the front of our campsite and see Thomas sitting there cleaning his blade. Looking like he did a bit of training himself this morning.
I stood up and walk over to him, stretching my arms once more. "Morning, Thomas."
"Good Morning to you, my queen." Thomas joked. "How did you sleep last night?"
I gritted my teeth and narrowed my eyes at him. "You know I hate that."
"Yep," he stuck his tongue out at me.
"I slept as well as you could get with sleeping on the ground," I said rubbing my back. I think there may have been a pebble underneath my makeshift sleeping bag. "I did get decent sleep though. How did you sleep before your turn to watch? Did anything really happen?"
"I slept about the same. Nothing really happened. I have seen a few animals make their early morning hunts and runs, but that is all." Thomas confirmed what I had a feeling about last night.
"That is great. I had a feeling it would be a simple night. We are on a dragon world, so dragons would be the top of the food chain. With Ragoth sleeping with us last night I didn't think there would be any attacks from wild animals. We lucked out on no humans finds us and being stupid enough to try and attack us." I sighed out or relief.
"Yeah, we did. Though something tells me the only idiots that would be stupid enough to try would be a damn Dragon Hunter, and you would feel their magic power a mile away. You would be up in a matter of seconds defending yourself and Ragoth."
"True." I shrugged my shoulders agreeing with him. "But at the same time, you would be right beside me making sure I don't become out of commission. Along with making sure no stray attacks slip pass me."
"Yep." He popped the 'p.'
I couldn't help but laugh for a moment and started to walk away. "Well... I'm going to go get us breakfast." I said to him, waving my hand to him.
"Don't go and get hurt out there," he said reminding me to be on my guard.
"Alright. I will." I hollered back to him. I have a habit of hurting myself without even trying. That's is why Thomas told me not to get hurt. It helps remind me to watch myself and my surroundings. As I got closer to the woods I looked for rabbit tracks and any eatable plants of any kind. I knew that rabbits would be easy to find around our campsite. 'Well... according to what Thomas said last night.' After walking around for what felt like ten minutes I finally spotted some tracks. Knowing that using Earth would be safer than Fire, I slow my pace so I can form wolf using plants as I walk. Fire would be too bright and the rabbit would smell it faster than Earth. I choose the plant form so it could blend in better the surrounding plants in the area. I took another look at the tracks and noticed there was a second set of tracks, so I made a second wolf. I sent them both off after the tracks. I figured using wolves would be better than forming a bow and arrow that would take the chance of missing the second rabbit. Plus I need to use my magic as much as I can, to build up the amount that my body has. So, I wouldn't pass out like I did yesterday.
