After riding for five minutes I start to see someone even though I couldn't quite make out who it was at first. Once we got closer I realized it was my boyfriend's best friend, Billy and his little sister Audrey. Back home he didn't live that far from my parents' place. In the past, I could walk to his house in fifteen minutes or drive in two or three maybe. Never did time driving.
"Hey!" I hollered out to him. Billy just waved at me. We guided the horses over to them.
Once we stopped near them, Billy looked up at me and asked, "Do you have any idea what is going on here? When I woke up, in whatever that thing was back there and only Audrey and I was there. There was no sign of my parents. Only one floor and no electronics. It feels like we were thrown back to the medieval times." He sounded freaked out.
"I remember his room being on the floor above the garage at his place. It's no wonder he sounds like he is close to his breaking point. I have no doubt that he is just putting on a brave face for his little sister. She was only seven." I got off of Jasmine. "Sadly I don't know what is going on. I'm hoping that we can figure it out as we are trying to find a way home. My brother and I were in the same boat. Thankfully we were able to grab things that were in the hut to help us along the way. We also came across horses as you can see." I paused. "By the way, you do remember my brother I know it has been a few years since you last had contact with him?" I held my hand out toward my brother.
"Well, at least we ain't alone in this. Yeah, I remember, how have you been Scott?" He greeted my brother.
"Hey." Scott just nodded.
"Well, well. If it ain't Audrey. You have gotten big since I last saw you. How old are you now you were four when I last saw you?" I smiled at her.
"I'm seven now." She giggled. "Weren't you dating my brother? What happened?" She smiled.
I looked at Billy real fast. He knelt down to her level, "Sis that was four years ago when you were three. How do you remember that or even understand that was what was going on back then?" He asked with a little bit of shock and confusion in his voice.
"I just do." Audrey grinned at him. There was innocence in her voice that made me think that she had been told and she remembered somehow.
I shook my head. "Billy let it go, we ain't getting any more information out of her. She won't remember who told her back then."
"Alright, you're right." He stood up shaking his head as well, knowing I was right.
"Audrey," I looked at her. "Your brother and I didn't work out. The two of us are better off as being as friends."
"Okay." She said with that innocence again.
"I hope she keeps that innocence while we are here." I happen to hear a horse whinnying. I turned around and see Temper making the fuss. "Scott unhook Temper would ya?"
"Sure." He started doing what I asked.
As soon as Temper was off he trotted right over to Billy to nuzzle him. Thankfully I moved Audrey out of the way before Temper got too close. Temper was acting the same way that Jasmine and Beauty acted with Scott and I. Billy was shocked at first but he soon got over it and started greeting Temper by whispering to him and patting his neck.
"Looks like we found Temper's rider. And a good thing too. I don't think I could put up with that attitude he has got." I smiled at my brother.
Scott laughed before saying, "I think you are right, Sis."
