"What did you just say?" JK said through gritted teeth. He couldn't believe what his brother just spewed, it had to be a lie. Why would his dad do something so heinous. Turning back around he sat back down on the couch across from Jin.
"Look, I know it's hard to hear, but it's the truth." Jin cocked his head to the ceiling, he didn't want to admit the truth himself, let alone try and get Jungkook to believe it. JK could see the tears pooling in his brother's eyes and it made his heart ache.
"Hyung, explain to me what my dad did to Rae." JK sat up crossing his arms as his gaze was fixed on his older brother. Jin crossed his arms in return, shielding himself slightly from the tension building between them, as he began to tell him what he found out about what his step-dad did.
"About a year ago, when I was over seas, I got a call from my mom, that they found me a bride." JK knew this part of the story. His puzzled expression told Jin he didn't know why he was telling him things he already knew. "It matters, so just bare with me." JK's head tilted in the other direction as he continued to listen. "I didn't want to get married, you know that. Well before I was going to go to the states I was with Rae. You all didn't know who she was at the time, but now you do."
JK hated that he knew the truth. Jin was just some random man in her past, before he had a name. He hated that they were intimate, that he was inside of her. Kissed her...loved her. He tried his hardest to push the thoughts down, but they threatened to cloud his mind, as he tried to listen to Jin's story.
"Your dad threatened that if I didn't get married, he would remove me from the family registry." Jin rolled his eyes at the notion, remembering the conversation as if it were yesterday.

"Jin, we've been patient with you for long enough. It's time that you settle down and get married. You're the eldest son, and it's your responsibility to provide the family with an heir."
"Dad, you know why I'm not going to get married. I'm seeing someone."
"Yes, someone whom you refuse to bring around the family. You won't even tell me her name, which tells me that she's not good enough for you."
"Who are you to tell me who's good enough for me or not. That's my decision. Not THE FAMILIE's and especially not yours."
"You live in our house, you play by our rules. It just takes the stroke of a pen, to remove you from the registry."
"Really, you'd go that far, all for what? More money, more power? That's all MY marriage means to you, doesn't it."
"Look, your mother went off and did what she did, and she left you with me. Out of the kindness of my heart, I've loved you like you were my very own son."
"This isn't love. You're just trying to control everything that I do, what I say, who I see. You can't stand that there's something that I have that you can't fucking control."
"Watch your mouth boy,"
"I'm done, if this is going to be how it is, I don't need to be here any longer."
"You can't do anything without my money, now can you?"
"It's funny how that's all you seem to think about. No wonder my mom chose a life where she literally died, just to get away from you."
Jin felt the sting of his stepfather's ring against his face. The warm stream of blood trickled down his cheek as the diamond broke skin.
"You will get married, one way or another. And that fling that you're in....End it."
