"I’m married. My husband passed away five years ago… and I loved him deeply. So stop looking at me like that."

Jin freezes, struck by the raw honesty in Jungkook’s words. He wasn’t expecting this revelation, and it hits him harder than he anticipated. He watches Jungkook's face, a mixture of surprise, sadness, and something else he can't quite name.

Jin is left speechless. As Jungkook stands and reaches for his jacket, Jin, still stunned by the revelation, hands over the bag holding it, unable to look away as Jungkook walks toward the door. He’s lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, but something heavy settles in his chest.

A single tear slips from his eye, tracing a path down his cheek. He can’t make sense of why his heart aches like this—why hearing about Jungkook’s past love stirs something deep within him. He barely knows the Alpha, and yet, his heart feels impossibly heavy.

Later that night, Jin lies awake in his bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying Jungkook's words over and over in his mind. He murmurs to himself in the quiet of the room, "Why did he say that to me? Is he trying to push me away?"

Jin curls up tighter in his bed, clutching his pillow as his thoughts spiral. "But why?" he whispers. "Why do I feel this way… about someone who seems to want nothing to do with me?"

His mind keeps returning to Jungkook—his eyes, his words, that sadness. It doesn’t make sense. "Why does it hurt so much?" Jin wonders aloud, feeling a deep ache he can’t explain.

He tries to push the thoughts away, to sleep, but Jungkook’s face, his distant words, and that silent sadness haunt him, leaving him restless, unable to shake the feeling of longing and confusion.

Days pass by in this quiet, tense space. Both Jin and Jungkook stay absorbed in their work.

A few weeks later, in the government office.

After a meeting, Yoongi walks into Jin’s office. Jin is busy with paperwork, completely focused, when he notices Yoongi approach with a different smile on his face—a gentle, knowing smile. Something about Yoongi’s demeanor feels off to Jin, like there's something else beneath the surface.

Yoongi gets closer, his eyes locking with Jin's. "Do you like snowfall?" he asks, his voice soft but full of curiosity.

Jin smiles, surprised at the sudden question. "What are you asking? Who doesn’t like snowfall?" he replies, trying to match Yoongi’s mood.

Yoongi steps closer, brushing his fingers lightly over Jin’s cheek. "Next month, we’ll be going to Switzerland for a Worldwide Summit with one of our country’s top companies," Yoongi says, his voice warm. "And you’ll come with me."

Jin’s eyes widen with surprise, his heart fluttering. "Really...?" he breathes, a wave of disbelief washing over him.

Yoongi nods, smiling. "Yes. Start preparing. You’ve only got 20 days."

Jin can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and confusion. "Okay, sir..." he mutters, still processing everything.

As Yoongi left the office, he muttered to himself with a smile, "Once we get to Switzerland, I’ll propose to you. And we’ll finally be together, just the two of us."

The days flew by, and on the night before they were set to leave for Switzerland, Jin finished packing his bags and went to visit Jisoo’s apartment to say goodbye. But Jisoo and Jihoo weren’t home, so Jin knocked on Yoongi’s door instead.

There was no answer. He was about to leave when he heard a faint noise from inside. Worried, he pushed the door open to find Yoongi lying on the bed, looking pale and feverish. Jin rushed to his side, his heart pounding as he felt the heat radiating from Yoongi’s forehead. Without a moment’s hesitation, he called a doctor and gave Yoongi medicine from the house, doing everything he could to make him comfortable.
