After Uncle and Jungkook left, Taehyung went to Jin's room, lying down on the bed, lost in thought about how to move forward with everything.
Moments later, Jin entered the room, closing the door behind him. Seeing Jin do this, Taehyung felt a pang of confusion, wondering what was going through Jin's mind.
"Jin... what's wrong?" he asked softly.
Jin, his voice breaking with pain, replied, "Why are you doing all of this? You always do as you please, forcing yourself into my life, and now... now you're pushing me away. What do you think of yourself?"
"How can you do this to me? I waited for months, but... you never came, and when you did..."
"You know, don't you, that I don't love you," he continued, his tone pained and conflicted. "Then... why are you confusing me? If I end up falling in love with you... things between us will only get more complicated."
Taehyung turned his gaze away, struggling with his own emotions. "Jin... then... don't fall in love with me. Bury these feelings right here before things go any further."
Jin took a few slow steps toward him, his voice filled with hesitation, "But... what if I can't stop myself from moving forward?"
"Is it... is it not possible to have feelings for two Alphas at the same time?"
Taehyung shook his head, his voice firm but pained. "No... that isn't possible. It's wrong. We should belong to only one person, no matter how much it hurts. We have to stop ourselves."
Jin took another step closer, his voice a whisper. "What if... what if I can't stop myself?"
Taehyung's expression hardened, though his voice was gentle. "If you don't stop, Jin, then I'll step back. Because as long as we don't end what happened between us, we'll never move forward. You'll never truly be Jungkook's."
"We can't let history repeat itself with us, like what happened to Jungkook and Jimin."
Jin froze, halting his steps, his voice soft but aching. "Tae... the person who has your love will be very lucky."
Tears formed in Taehyung's eyes as he looked at Jin. "No... the lucky one is the one who has you."
"Jungkook loves you deeply."
Jin's own eyes filled with tears, meeting Taehyung's gaze. "And... you... you loves me deeply."
Hearing this, Taehyung broke down, turning away as if shielding his vulnerability.
Jin stood still, closing his eyes in pain, allowing the tears to flow freely down his face.
Both of them stood there, silently crying, their hearts weighed down by the impossibility of their emotions.
During dinner, Jin sat between his uncle and aunt, surrounded by nearby relatives. Laughter and conversation filled the room as they all enjoyed the meal together, including Jungkook and Taehyung, who appeared to be blending in with the family warmth.
Once dinner was over, Uncle Min asked Taehyung, Jin, and Jungkook to join him in a room where Aunt Min was already waiting. The four of them sat down, the air thick with anticipation.
Uncle Min turned to Jin with a serious expression. "Jin, if I ask you now-despite everything you've been through-would you consider living your life again with Jungkook? Or would you choose someone who has always cared for you, someone who has been there for you and truly values you?"
He paused, letting his words sink in. "Now, tell me. What do you think you should do? Whom will you choose?"
Jin's heart clenched with pain, his breath catching in his chest.
